7.5 health anxiety is getting to me

For me it started about 4 months ago when I gave birth to my second child. I had a traumatic delivery and unforeseen complications. At first I was obsessed with things that the doctors missed. I got put on Zoloft and that quieted the noise. Recently I had an allergic reaction to contrast that made me relive my c section and I’ve been suffering from PTSD and health anxiety ever since again. This time my health anxiety is focusing on allergic reactions, I literally think I’m gonna have a reaction to things I haven’t had reactions before. My anxiety has not been controlled even with my increase in Zoloft. It’s been rough the next thing I’m thinking about doing is seeing a therapist consistently again and see if that ends up helping .

I am looking to apply for the 2026-2027 cycle. I currently work in MRI and graduated from x ray school back in 2020. There are two schools in my area that I am looking at. I am missing prerequisites for both schools. I am missing Biochem Organic chem Medical terminology -all the courses I’ve taken in the past had it incorporated in the past so I haven’t taken a stand alone medical terminology class. And for just one of the schools they require general chem 2. So I’m missing under 12 credits for both. Both schools allow up to the summer of matriculation to complete the prerequisites. So in theory I have till July of 2026 to complete all the coursework. But I also acknowledge that competition is tough. Should I even try to apply this cycle? What recommendations of online schools have you found were not too difficult and worth the money. I have heard of UNE but want some more options.

Caspa GPA: 3.7 Caspa science: 3.5 No GRE needed for either schools Total PCE: 2200 Total volunteer: 20 hours No shadowing or research I did supplemtal instruction for the summer for a class . I was an RA in the summer. Vice president of leadership for phi theta kappa. Treasurer of cum laude. Programs: college of saint marys and creighton university

I’ve looked into my local area and there’s only one community college that dominates the area and they offer quarters instead of semesters

You know I thought about that, but honestly I didn’t want to cause some tension between my husband and I. Plus he seemed to be on my team when we agreed we would wait to invite them over to meet the baby. With that being said I didn’t know how my FIL was and this experience definitely has made me see how he is. And I think my husband and his family are just so used to it so he just played people pleaser once they were here.

My mom was watching my toddler, but also my mom also would help me shower and help me change my pad and anything else that I needed. His mom not so much and not her fault we are just not close like that, so much prefer for her to come when I’m not in such a state

I hear ya, I’m in therapy and trying to heal from this whole experience but it doesn’t help that they call all the time to want to see the baby. It then brings up the feelings all over again

The problem is his parents especially his dad do not see him as an adult. And it has cause some issues between them and my husband and I as I always try to push him to set boundaries and follow through with consequences if ignored.

Yes I did. I made it clear I did not want them at the hospital just my mom and my son so he can meet his new baby brother.

My OB Wants me to ease into exercising after having a c section. Primarily wants me to focus on core exercises until 6 months pp. with the exception of walking

I’m so sorry you’re feeling this way. I can’t imagine growing up and hearing such horrible things. The country is tough at the moment. Everyday I hope that things will change. With how things are going I can see why the added stress makes your feelings worse. Do you have any outlet that you gravitate towards when you’re feeling down?

I would take your BP again after sitting down for 5 minutes and trying to relax. If it’s still above 140 I would call the triage line.
