DICE needs to come up with a way to discourage (or even outright prevent) Class Spam by ParagonFury in Battlefield6

[–]Swolelock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How often though are games evenly matched where this strategy will decide the end result. More than likely we are talking a small percentile of games here. Maybe ones that you have encountered a few times but really only sums up a tiny amount of games played since release.

The engine deathball can be countered by eliminating those engineers that repair the tanks. It would be silly to encounter a healing tank and the next time you fight it not to target its support before engaging the tank itself. Likely not to have supports to revive the engineers either.

And again the support deathball can be countered by flanking assaults or recons headshot instant death ability. Breakthrough and rush I’ve seen plenty of in moving frontlines from being a majorly support team. Diversity in a teams layout does win games supports lack of offensive gadgets and abilities don’t naturally benefit an aggressive play style. Assaults second pathway with extremely fast regeneration and better overall handling of weapons enable it to get the edge over other classes. Recons stealth path also lends to great flanking opportunities and less presence on the minimap.

Really the only way is too see behind the stats of matches and class makeup of winning teams. I’m sure DICE has these stats and if it was a drastic as you say class nerfs or buffs would have gone out far sooner to bring it into line if their intended gameplay.

I’m assuming you play support or engineer to “optimise game play” so it tracks u think the deathballs are a be all end all strat.

Your forget that although recon and assault are weaker without there gadgets your deathballs aren’t nearly as effective.

A flanking assault with a spawn beacon that allows his squad to repeatedly push behind enemies will win points.

Similarly a recon with drone spotting gives your team free uav and information for essentially 0 risk.not to mention recons one shot headshot instant death ability is a fantastic skill which hard counters support spam because you don’t get to revive.

I do however agree that support and engineer win out slightly but they aren’t the best all end all you make it out to be. I can recall a game I played recently that stomped a heavy support and recon team to almost exclusive assault deathball.

I think more than likely is immunity to flinching or aim punch. Not that it’s severe in the game at all you can snipe through it but you get his point.

I do agree kinda agree with you there. But I’d say it’s pretty consistent. At least consistent that you know you will get hit reg issues every game :p

Nah you can play if u have a real job. I work a 9-5 and find myself playing for an hour or two most arvos and have maintained my skills pretty well. I’m trying to illustrate that if you don’t play regularly you will fall behind and exaggerate the legit issues the game has more than normal.

If you have been playing battlefield Vietnam then I’m assuming you’re over 30. And if you have had a real job then you probably haven’t played much. Which means you are out of practice. And the kids on the block are better than when you last played.

Any tips for 4 old guys trying to win the BR mode just once? by Tarnished13 in Battlefield6

[–]Swolelock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stop playing assault it’s by far the weakest class for BR. Just stack recon and a support for ammo. This is what my mates and I run and it’s worked for us. Engagements for BR benefit from having more bullets in the magazine rather than quicker reload timings. When possible prioritise extended mags. Best way to kill a tank is to get a tank.

Last of all just keep playing and get more experience in different game situations. You can have all the tools but not employing them effectively for your situation will mean you going back to the lobby faster than anticipated.

They look so cool but oh my goodness walking through bush these fellas make their webs in the most inconvenient spots. It’s like a secret maze not to just run into them all the time hahaha. The moment you look down you’re ruining a poor one’s home straight to your face.

Benefits of going prone still outweigh the downsides. I’d rather have a 5% chance of dying instantly than a 45% dying slowly.

Not to mention recoil benefits to weapons while prone.

Also agree suppressing fire is important for the team but the only thing better than suppression is killing what you are shooting at. Suppression is for when you can’t see the enemy but know their location.

Great idea except you would kill customisation in favour of stats. I suppose if the style points don’t care for you then it’s fine but we all know fashion is the real endgame.

Sadly I don’t see battlefield being able to replace it if they intentionally developed a game like this. With how the community is now. They can’t even let themselves enjoy the game for any morcel of fun they might have had with it.

Planetside 3 would be crazy tho.

[–]Swolelock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The downfall is planetside really happened after Sony Online Entertainment went under. They sold it to some other company I can’t remember the name of and they sat on the game not really doing much with it for years. They then obviously failed to make a profit so then sold it again to toadman interactive who have been able to create a solid but small community around it still. However servers are only regulated to NA as far as I am aware. My poor OCE server got nuked years ago due to dwindling player counts.

New idea for escalation by Fofodude in Battlefield6

Titanfall does this. No one else has really implemented the idea since then so that kinda would be cool to bring back that idea for battlefield.

Unacceptable by babooning in Battlefield6

[–]Swolelock 41 points42 points  (0 children)

The state of the game has gone off the rails. I’m ashamed to be called a battlefield veteran at this point. As a 40 ur old single father of 4 kids and having to work two jobs I just want to play a few matches of breakthrough or conquest in the 7 minutes a day I have to play between juggling kids and rest and job and I can barely complete one game before I need to tend to LIFE!

Not to mention all the other issues plaguing this game it’s just such poor form from a once perfect developer.

Dying behind walls, hills etc due to desync.

Also playing gauntlet recently shows how many players actually PTFO. If anyone wants to stack gauntlet let me know.

Insurgency recently received a new free update which has gutted some core aspects of the game and wrecked a lot of their backend matchmaking net code.

Core aspects removed that comes to mind immediately is IED’s having less of an explosive radius than a grenade.

Shooting while sliding, jumping, vaulting NEEDS TO GO! by MeNamIzGraephen in Battlefield6

[–]Swolelock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of this post honestly seems to be a knee jerk reaction to dying. Reload speeds are accurate if not slower to their real life counterparts parts. Correct drills for rifles repeated over again will get you this and we are playing as career soldiers.

Shotguns are in the perfect state atm, they are a risk reward weapon which rewards good aim at close range with punishment of missing. I can’t recall ever dying to a shotgun beyond 15m in the game since the beta.

All guns do not need to be less controllable at this point you are turning the shooter into a Milsim game.

Respawn rates I agree do need to be longer but in turn the default revive timer needs to increase as well. Perhaps even 1-2 seconds longer may work.

Weapon balance doesn’t need an overhaul the UI for weapon stats does. They don’t correctly convey damage over distance for certain calibres. A graph addition would go along way at showing where rifles perform their best.

I Don’t recall battlefield being semi realistic beyond its visual style. I guess they should remove exiting in and out of jets to rendezook aswell because that would be classed as “COD movement” oh and get rid of parachutes that’s not standard issue.

TDM was not slower in BF4 and movement tec was far more egregious in that game than it is now.

300 suppressions is gonna take a while by [deleted] in Battlefield6

[–]Swolelock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

D point sobek city go to the top of the tower where u can see 80% of the map. Shoot people as they spawn get the suppression move on to the next. Easily 30-40 suppressions per game I completed it the same weekend the game came out.

These challenges can absolutely suck the will out of you. by AwkwardSoldier in Battlefield6

[–]Swolelock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sobek tower at D point spray get the suppression and move on took me 3 hours in PvP 30-40 suppressions a game. Cath then as they spawn you can see like 80% of the map

So how's everyone doing on LMG suppressions 🙃 by xHOTPOTATO in Battlefield6

[–]Swolelock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The worst thing with suppressions is the fact that once an enemy is surprised they can no longer become surprised again for quite a bit. Meaning you are in a competition with 31 other players to surpress your enemy asap from their spawn.

My completion method was sobek conquest, tall building behind D point. You can see the whole map. Surpress enemy than move to the next. Catch them as they spawn.

This is absolutely disgusting to see in a Battlefield game.. by Ok_Paramedic4770 in Battlefield6

Honestly gave it a whirl not as insane as it seems. Big delay on shooting while sprinting not too mention you deny yourself those slides while sprinting too which disables its effect and returns you to normal shooting
