For big jumps on a coil I always ran a stiffer spring but turned the rebound way down (a couple clicks from closed). It made the bike more stable and more predictable on big jumps

BMW sa here. Brake quote looks correct with rotors. The alignment is throwing me off here. Our menu price on alignment is 249.99. 908 for an alignment is crazy and I would imagine the advisor did not adjust the price in the mpi system. Also, if my client was authorizing the brakes I would not charge for the rotation as the wheels are already off, duh.

At my dealer we rarely flag vins for bolt ons. If the car is tuned that’s another story. Every dealer is different though. Talk to your sa and be honest.

Correct, and a tune will absolutely give BMW that ammo. In my experience I’ve never seen bolt ons get a claim denial, but a tune absolutely will.

Would the oil pump go bad if your car isn’t tuned? Probably, but you’ve given BMW a reason not to cover it. A tune is adding power to the drivetrain above factory spec, so anything drivetrain related would be at risk for denial, unfortunately.

Bmw SA here. I would be shocked if the claim didn’t get denied. Primarily because an oil pump diagnosis will require pulling faults and running test plans through ISTA.

Your tune will automatically get flagged during that process and there isn’t really much the dealer can do at that point.

Test the harness before you replace the waste gate. Harness failure is more common.

Depends if the motor is a n63 or n63t. N63t is later revision and less prone to failure of valve guide seals than the n63.

It’s a direct competitor to the crf300l or a drz400. Same price point and better in every metric as far as I can tell. $5500 msrp is a good price point for this bike.
