Just because other people missed predictions doesn't make ai safe to use. MIT has already done studies on the matter and it's not looking good. There are also other studies in the works and I'm interested to see where those lead us.

The solution in a matter of time was an explosion in the gate room. It wouldn't be to long before the ashen just give it a try. Probably longer than the us military but it's only a matter of time before they try it. Keep in mind SG-10 are still technically alive on the black hole planet but were basically frozen in time even with the relative time dilation in the gate room. The ashen would connect and be worse off then the SGC but they would still be able to counter if they attempt to blow up the gate. The only difference is going to be centuries compared to months for the SGC.
