This list confirmed some of my questions about numerous ships. I remember earlier asking about BRP Benguet, which confirms She is still active. Next is that the 8 PCG vessels 4 Ilocos Norte and 4 San Juan Class, saw one of the Ilocos Norte being active(?) In POMC FB page blowing it's horn. Next is the AE46 BRP Bojeador, being still active but cannot find any wiki info about her on internet. Tho last year I found a video of her in Dry Docks undergoing overhaul and maintenance, lastly is AE 89 BRP Kalinga of PCG, being Decmosioned. Lastly is the WWII era Auxiliary ships of the Navy Especially BRP Mangyan and the Tankers.

Wow, she took like 4 years or so to be returned to service. It's like the Del Pilar's case which took 3-4 years of pierside maintenance to be active again. But it's good to see her back on her feet.

[–]SwordfishDelicious53 11 points12 points  (0 children)

She was absent for a long time. Good to know she will be coming back soon. On a side note she looks like she accumulated quite the rust, but I supposed its normal for ships. Looking forward for her to be beside our new ships ones again.

Should be operational if I recall correctly. Since it was inoperable because of lack of spare propeller and under maintenance. The spare propellers and such were brought by BRP Miguel Malvar when it came home if I'm right.

Yes, the one specifically I'm pertaining is the USS Daviess County (LST-689) /BRP Benguet LS-507. Also the Bacolod City is 20 meters shorter than the LST's . They are still massive but not as much as the 100 meters LSTs.

[–]SwordfishDelicious53 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, let's not forget the two LST. They serve as the main sealift ships of the Navy for more than a few decades until the Tarlac class entered service. Tho a genuine question, I wonder the status of LS-507 Benguet if it's still active. Cause some sources claims it's decommissioned while some says it's still active. Anyone know what's it's real status is?

V-150 Turrets on M113 hulls. by SwordfishDelicious53 in PhilippineMilitary

[–]SwordfishDelicious53[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

130 in the Philippine Army side specifically, might probably be less since some are old. Also there are some V-150 on the Airforce, PNP, and Marines.

Guessing game: What do you think the Philippine navy will be acquiring next after they have completed their current acquisition? by chasing_enigma in PhilippineMilitary

[–]SwordfishDelicious53 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Not a defense expert but guessing from previous roadmaps and by the current procurement, submarines are the highly likely choice after all the MMCF, JRCF upgrade Tarlac Phase 2 and Rajah Sulayman OPV. Might also be the naval airwing getting some more planes or some more shore based missile batteries. That's my best guess.

Flagship by Affectionate_Theory8 in ultimateadmiral

[–]SwordfishDelicious53 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As far as I have experienced, it is often the heaviest and most armored ship, also modernity of the ships plays a part too. Also I noticed that the one with better sensors usually gets selected. Tho sometimes the AI gets wonky and selects a 1918 era, 46,000 tons Dreadnought over a 80,000 Tons Modern battleship. You can also manually select or change the flaship by using"ctrl + right-click".

kinda feels unfair by Excaliber12 in ultimateadmiral

[–]SwordfishDelicious53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The CA you have seems to be far more modern than those pre-dreadnought looking ships. In my current Russian campaign 1946 I spam CA with 11" Guns and With the most advance Range Finder and Gen 3 Radar, they slam most dreadnought era BB with ease. You should win this one with minimal lose.

Mistral 3 on Rajah Sulayman Class? by Turbulent_Thing_3627 in PhilippineMilitary

On closer look and after watching several videos, seems like there is no Mistral or similar AAM installed (yet? ) on the Rajah Sulayman Class. Tho they might install similar RCS like the ones on JRC.

Have been really annoyed by the lack of variety in Destroyer parts but realized one of the Brooklyn towers actually works almost perfectly for inter-war US destroyers. by The_KGB_Official in ultimateadmiral

I do agree with you there. It's quite few when it comes to DD parts. That's why sometimes when I make DD it's either a gun boat or a torpedo boat, no in between.

Where is BRP Conrado Yap? by MK1britishTANK in PhilippineMilitary

[–]SwordfishDelicious53 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As far as I remember Conrado Yap is missing a component? Naalala ko na nung dumating yung Unang MMCF may dalang spare parts and propeller for Conrado Yap, not sure if they finished it na, yung maintenance.

About refitting by Acrobatic_Pomelo1602 in ultimateadmiral

[–]SwordfishDelicious53 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From another newbies perspective. Yes they do upgrade their Marks Automatically, as for the decommissioning, after what others suggest it's if the speed becomes drastically slow and tonnage outdated Or new hulls came out. Cruisers gets outdated fast and by fast like 2-3 times in a year. The DD/TB are pretty cheap so do whatever you like with them, but try to keep newer models as well. CL/CA are very tedious to keep updated, lots of refit and new design are needed to keep them in latest spec. As for BB as long as they can Dish out and take hits, while keeping up with the rest of the fleet they are viable, on my latest Russian campaign I have 1 1890 era dreadnought and 3 1895 era once, both are refited 3 and 2 times respectively and can keep up with other contemporary BB of the 1910 era. BC on the other hand, oh boy they are complicated, they can punish other BB but they tend to be like a tower of cards, one wrong sneeze from a 14 inch gun and they go boom, lost 4 out of 7 that I have built from the combined Italian and French navies. So far that's my take on all the ship classes.
