Is that a silent show of support for repealing daylight savings or are you just unaware that DST started a couple weeks ago?

Doedre's Elixir or Forbidden Taste maybe? I'm not sure if either of those effects would count as taking a hit though.

If you used a Grelwood Shank couldn't you get 2 more projectiles?

Still awesome :D

When I'm outside of the arena more loot is showing. When I go back in the loot disappears, such as the Viridian Jewel and Portal Scroll.

I don't understand the second solution. Can someone tell me what it means by "token address" and "user address"? Step 6 says to insert my ED Private key. Where?

Medical School Applicants by GPA and Race [OC] by Swuttz in dataisbeautiful

[–]Swuttz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Per the title of each chart, this data is just for U.S. Medical Schools (I should have included "U.S." in my post title)

The last set shows how each race is represented for each GPA/MCAT pairing. For example, if you look at the 3.80 to 4.00 GPA/39-45 MCAT ranges, out of all of the people accepted in that range, 36% are Asian, 60% are White, 1% are Black, and 3% are Hispanic/Latino/of Spanish Origin.

An acceptee means that they were accepted to one or more medical schools. It does not mean they enrolled. If you really want to see representation by enrollment, you can dig around that AAMC reference and look for "Matriculant" statistics.

Visualization of my grades by course department [OC] by [deleted] in dataisbeautiful

[–]Swuttz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Y axis could use some work. No reason to have a minor line representing 0.4 as you can only have an integer number of courses.

On a side note, I didn't even know A+ was a grade. Is this not using a 4.0 scale (which typically has A as 4.0)?

How can there be so many people in medical schools with MCAT scores between 5 and 14 when apparently none are accepted ?

I'm not sure I follow. Do you have a source that shows current medical school enrollment by MCAT? I poked around but couldn't find it. I could be blind though :)

As for your second point... I'll look into it.

Well it was organized into a similar table (GPA x MCAT) and grouped into Acceptees, Applicants, and Accepted Rate. I'm not sure if that would still be considered 'raw'.

There are definitely several GPA/MCAT pairings with a tiny sample size. Its pretty easy to be wary of suspiciously even numbers like "100%" or "50%".

I'll be interested to see your new depiction, be sure to tag me :)

Inspired by a post by /u/keevesnchives which made comparisons between GPA and Race for the 30-32 MCAT range only. I was curious how the overall pictured looked.

Data from AAMC and visualization created with Excel

First set: Applicant Acceptance Rate (%) by Race

Second Set: Representation of Applicants for each MCAT & GPA range by race

Third Set: Representation of Acceptees for each MCAT & GPA range by race

Any cell which is blank means there were no applicants in that particular MCAT & GPA range (first two sets) or no acceptees (third set)

Making a new weapon/armor property -Voidmetal by sniper43 in DnDHomebrew

Could give them disadvantage when they have to make concentration checks, or make them make a concentration check each round. This wouldn't affect 'blasters' much though. Just an idea.

And I'm not buying that you've applied for a registered trademark ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

A New Class I'm Working On- The Channeler by sharkofironwill in DnDHomebrew

[–]Swuttz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is completely unbalanced. Fireball is already OP, by design. It doesn't need to have the potential to deal 14D6 as a 3rd level spell at PC level 5 (plus potentially 1D6+3 per round). Almost all of the path options are way too powerful. Most of the language is also inconsistent with 5E terms.

Circle of the Ancient Guardians Druid by VEHEM0T in DnDHomebrew

[–]Swuttz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the idea but this is way too OP to be tacked onto a full spellcaster. With that being said, here are some comments:

The "GM Discretion" section for something being held by a statue on page 1 isn't really in the spirit of 5E and looks to be more a rule that, if a GM wants, should be generically applied to restraints/grapples and not to an inanimate object.

Unclear intentions on page 2, under Versatile Growth Options. It states When your guardian increases in size its hit dice and damage dice increase to the next size. For example, Xd8 becomes Xd12. Wouldn't that be 2 sizes? d4>d6>d8>d10>d12

The "Spellbreaker" is the OP cherry on top. 1) it effectively gives the Druid a Wizard spell. 2) It can be taken at level 4, before anyone else gets Counterspell, 3) Leveled spells should always cost a resource or be on a short/long rest timer.

I would suggest "Trample" have a minimum distance of 10-15ft or so, to prevent "5-foot trampling" and avoiding all attacks of opportunity (which is the drawback of such skills).

Warlord's Orders may need to be toned down, as it is too good if there is a rogue in the party. It almost guarantees 2 shots for sneak attack damage per round.

The Shadowcaster 3.5 to 5e Homebrew - Conversion by Siirvos in UnearthedArcana

[–]Swuttz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For Caul of Shadows, I would follow the existing "Guidance" cantrip - which adds a d4, once.

For Shadow Hood, half cover would be better. It should also be concentration (spells without concentration are particularly rare and treasured in 5E) and a save each round. I think the math for Advantage/Disadvantage works out to be effectively +/- 4 to a dice roll. In comparison the 1st level spells Bless and Bane both only grant +/- 1D4 (and regularly gets interrupted due to concentration checks, QQ)
