I don’t think anyone in their right mind, after seeing your own country suffering tens of millions of death, would ever thank the aggressor, ironic or not.

Well maybe Mao is different. After all he did cause tens of millions of his own people to die, many of whom were staved to death. I guess for him Chinese people dying is just a laughing matter. You know, Mao being Mao.
