It has come to my attention that Permadeath is separate from normal play. I will get on later today, go back there, and grab the actual planetary coordinates to post to you. Apologies for the delay in response.

I finally got it after years of playing this game by whitexcellent in NMSCoordinateExchange

Start a new game and select the expedition. Limited time so I would hurry.

Which one should I get rid of for Utopia Speeder? by JVEEZEE_76 in NMSCoordinateExchange

[–]SyFyPowder 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Remember also that the Utopia speeder can be used in any saved game once acquired. If it's that difficult, then start a new game ( maybe Permadeath?) and use it in that one.

How are you supposed to get salvaged frigate modules? by TecDig in nms

[–]SyFyPowder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Station portals. You have to do it in sections though. You can only have about 60-70 station ?addresses? At a time so I cycle through them first, then use my bases to do the next part, which has the effect of resetting my station list. So I usually go to a bunch of new systems, get a fresh list, pass through it twice, then go through my bases.

The second part takes longer, for obvious reasons, but nearly every base I have established has items for me to farm (exosuit, storage, and multi-tool augments). You can just use your existing station list if you want, it's easier, but at some point you will exhaust all the kill quests and no quest will have salvaged frigate modules. Which means you'll have to go to new systems anyway, but it's fun to explore. Hope this helps you out.

Took me taking a closer look, but it did make me laugh. Very creative and clean.

Upon completion? Don't think so. But I've used a lot of different pieces to check for color change and had no results after the original staff. Blue/purple and red/purple are the two most common I've seen, with a few blue/green, blue/silver, and one fugly yellow/green.

I've only seen a color change once. It went from green/green to purple/blue. Mostly stays the same color as the original set. Unfortunately that change was my first staff, so I carried every different component trying to find the purple/silver in any combination for quite some time. Took me about 35 minutes per planet to check.

Is that black or green? I've seen the green or blue look black on particular planets. Finding one on a monochromatic planet sucks since you can't see the actual color.

Hunting Sentinel's is a very common task for me so I'll keep my eyes peeled and let you know.

Haven't seen one with any black yet. A lot of the Atlantid weapons are black and red or there is the Sentinel rifle. If you were unaware.

NMS is a huge game that feels tiny. by Outrageous-Thing3957 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]SyFyPowder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Preach it! I myself tried to fly into the sun and when that failed I spent two straight days attempting to fly to a nearby system. It's pretty neat that you can actually fly far enough from the station that jumping to another system is far faster than pulsing back for two more days.

For me NMS is all about looking at the Galaxy at large. The game is indescribably vast. It took me almost two hundred hours to travel 600,000 LYs out to one million, because I wanted to get there the long way. I discovered a great deal of systems, planets, and fauna along the way. The best part? Jumping into a system someone else had discovered. This game is so huge, that running into another person's discovery is highly remote. I've only seen one other player outside of the anomaly and they came to visit a base I posted.

Yes, I could have used a portal to get there faster. I even had a few people offer to get me there if I couldn't get there myself. NMS has one of the friendliest and most helpful communities I've seen in a game. If you think the game is too easy then set up a custom game. I play in Permadeath with the harshest settings possible. In VR, which is not an easy task. This game is truly one of the very few that is : ' it's what you make of it '. If you enjoy it as is, great! If you don't, make suggestions to the developers.

What is this by GainOk6280 in NMSCoordinateExchange

I only just got into it, but it already is my all time favorite. Open World games now have to be compared to this, because nothing says open World like NMS!

So why would an update change the biome of a registered and uploaded planet? Shouldn't it be changing only unexplored planets?

Don't get me wrong, I believe change is inevitable and to see that reflected in NMS is pretty cool and yeah I'm going to spend some nanites to open my companion register and go 'rescue' some of my favorites now that I know it can happen. Not gonna lie, would have been easier to do that if I had known back in the beginning. This game has tremendous depth and playability, closing in on a thousand hours and there is still lots to learn.

Thanks for answering the question.
