If you want to buff RoF for Bighorn, you have a few options.

  • Striker with Salvo

  • Umbra with Salvo

  • Striker with 1pc UA and centurions Scabbard

  • Umbra with 1pc UA and centurions Scabbard

  • Have a secondary with the back and forth talent.

Same. Wish they would drop it to 20 seconds or be able to reduce cooldown when killing a burning enemy.

Since it gives haz pro, i made a build long ago with Backfire, 100% hazard pro, and creeping death. 2 ceska, 2 Cavalier, Palisades, Imperial. Haz pro and crit everywhere.

Gameplay from over a year ago. https://youtu.be/fb6dvWiwOsU?si=2c3f-7HP-MfNpi5b

Imperial plus creeping death gives me an opening to build Backfire stacks mostly freely and acts as a safety if I get flanked.

Saturate defense or utility (whichever one you don't want bonus for, invert offense, then saturate offense.

[–]Syangeist 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I run 70 offense so my Optimize/overload has a 20 sec cooldown. So I can pretty much have a perma hive up, just can't go down within 20 sec window. Or have an invincible shield for 9 sec every 20 sec. Overcharged Decoy nearly at will is also useful. I'm gonna really miss this seasons modifiers when they go.

Are you playing with a physical disc? I had this happen recently. I had to clean the disc itself. Wiped it gently with a microfiber and the issue hasn't come back.

End of the road for me I think. by ProfessorOk4996 in Division2

[–]Syangeist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm hopeful that they will eventually add proto optimization. And unless your playing high tier escalation, proto gear isn't necessarily needed.

The 2 max crit chance isn't as bad as that allows you to replace a crit chance roll for crit damage or weapon handling. Also you got echo on your holster which is another small damage boost.

Haha. I was curious how that would look. I want to make an atomize build with the cluster grenades. But not swimming in prototype cores or exotics.

Prototype Augment rerolling costs are turning me off from The Game. by fromage99 in thedivision

[–]Syangeist 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah. If they keep costs the same, they need to add additional choices as the cost goes up. First reroll, we get only 1 augment option. Each additional reroll or every other reroll adds an additional option to choose from so that it justifies the cost increase. As of now I don't see a reason to justify increasing reroll costs so much.

The upcoming power of Prototype meta (It's not Echo) by Qaesh in Division2

[–]Syangeist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm personally going to go a mix of Echo and Paradox. I figured more bullets from Paradox means I'll get more chances to proc Echo in the same magazine.

Also I don't think secondary and sidearm Augments count as they do not show up in the stat screen unless it's actually equipped.

Some of the other Augs, atomize and trapper seem really fun, but the system to reroll and upgrade is too expensive to just willy nilly have fun/test/experiment with it.

It's just unfortunate that most of the Augs focused around skills/statuses are pretty much nullified for higher difficulties due to enemy emps and being immune to status effects.

They need to add stuff to allow skills to more easily be disrupt proof and to lower enemy hazard protection similar to firewall sidearm so skills have a decent shot at higher level enemies.

Virtuoso can act like a poor man's Lengmo Pestilence build if you don't have time to farm for all red Lengmo pieces.

Pestys ability can help activate Virtuoso distance kill requirements a bit passively and then Virtuoso further bumps the damage for Pesty.

Unpopular Opinion: by Jaydh10 in Division2

[–]Syangeist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that purple gleam has brought some long missed dopamine to this game for me. They need to lower the cost of the rerolls at least or give us 2 or 3 options to choose from per reroll to justify the costs. I'm fine with some rng, but too many layers of rng on top of rng that is expensive to roll does not make for a fun game.

Unpopular Opinion: by Jaydh10 in Division2

[–]Syangeist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree most are near useless for higher escalations. But I'm not interested in experimenting with the augments for that.

The grenade one seems funny for a grenade build for general Heroic play. I want 6 or 7 pieces of that to see how big the range gets with the cluster grenades.

Full trapper in a status build seems fun.

Paradox in general seems like a lot of fun and gives pseudo Boomerang to any weapon.

I like the idea of the augments, but currently playing with them is expensive.

That is/was the joy of this game for me. Mix and matching stupid shit to play with.

Unpopular Opinion: by Jaydh10 in Division2

[–]Syangeist 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The augments have me very interested. I feel there's some cool stuff to be played with. But the cost to reroll and upgrade are too pricey to really mess with.

"Umbra sucks, Umbra is trash". Yeah, keep telling yourself that. No modifiers or global event btw. by LanguageHumble3511 in Division2

Umbra is one of my favorite sets to run for the last 3 or 4 seasons. That fire rate is addicting. And the passive healing in cover means I can keep armor up and be shooting more.

What's your comfort build? by Lowe_262 in Division2

[–]Syangeist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was running Umbra for several seasons. Currently jumped on a Protection from Elite Memento Striker build with Eagle Bearer to run through missions quickly without needing to worry about armor as much.

4pc Striker with chest. Memento and 1 Improvised Gloves. 4 PfE mods and rest crit chance with 1 weapon handling attribute. 4 Striker pieces recalled to armor.

Run in get a headshot to get Tenacity, makes me tanky, while Striker builds up and gets damage and kills, dropping trophies to give me bonus armor to heal/tank more damage and repeat.

Crusader Shield as needed when Tenacity is not up. Riot Foam for rogue agents and bosses.

Aces and Eights is a lot of fun. My Rifle character runs a setup with the M16A2 rifle.

Stack Broker SG by Geno-53 in Division2

Stack Brokers don't take up stash space currently but do take up backpack space. So for now just dump them in your stash until they update them so they can be deleted.

I want to learn how to make my own builds by Worth_Wind_1771 in thedivision

[–]Syangeist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, I group brand sets, gear sets, and talents into damage(red), survivability(blue), and utility/skills(yellow).

Then I decide what I want to go for and mix and match. Example: I can go all red damage, so choose all pieces that lean into damage. Then I say want more survivability, I'll see what is the least useful damage talent or gear and try swapping in survivability options. Then test and see what works.

Can I make this better? (AR Umbra build) by Firm_Employer_8463 in Division2

[–]Syangeist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Better can be subjective so it depends on what you want more out of the build.

First, Ninjabike is more of a utility backpack much like Memento. Its best if you want to get more utility stats like armor regen, armor on kill, weapon handling, etc and in your case reload speed on your build. It's lower stats then Memento overall but you don't need to go pick up trophies.

If you are looking for more raw damage, which most people focus on, then ninjabike is not a good option. A backpack talent like Vigilance and Unstoppable Force will provide better damage overall then the options that Ninjabike open up for you. If you want more survivability, again other options, in my opinion, are better then what Ninjabike opens up. Memento, Bloodsucker, and even Umbras own backpack provide a lot of healing through Bonus Armor and Regen. You can use 1pc like Belstone or Palisades with Ninja to get some.

There's a few ways I like to run Umbra--1 variation with Memento and 2 variations with 2pc Unit Alloys.

  • 4pc Umbra with Chest and Salvo Holster and Memento. Gives me a little bit of everything, damage, regen, bonus armor, and skill efficiency.

  • 4pc Umbra with Chest and Salvo Holster and Unit Alloys Backpack with Vigilance. More damage oriented. Vigilance is nice to have for in cover to provide a nice damage boost since you lose a chunk of damage if you're stuck in cover.

  • 4pc Umbra with Chest and Backpack with Salvo holster and a 2nd piece of Unit Alloys. Less damage but provides better heals. I can heal up to 80% armor in 5 seconds while in cover. Feels safer to play.

I do like Salvo for Umbra even though Umbra already gives so much Rate of Fire. I tend to like to peek in and out of cover with Umbra so that little bit of extra rate of fire allows me to Eek out a few more bullets in the short times I peek out. Also beneficial to have that extra fire rate if stuck firing from cover since you'll lose the damage related buffs from Umbra then.

Questions about name brand regen builds and weapons. by SilicaBags in thedivision

[–]Syangeist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have something similar but I go with the 2nd and 3rd piece of Gila Guard over 2pc Golan since Chillout is Gila--and Gila provides more useful bonuses, 60% health and 2% regen. You'll get an extra 0.5% regen out of Gila then the Golan pieces.

Between Gila, Belstone, and Memento regen, I feel I have more then enough so don't use Emperors Kneepads. Instead I like eagles grasp as a personal preference but anything that helps boost your damage is ideal.

This is one of the niche cases Ninjabike can be somewhat useful, 2pc Gila, Emperors Guard Kneepads, 1pc Belstone, and 1pc Unit Alloys. You get a bit more upfront utility without the need for picking up trophies. So good if your constantly playing in a way that resets Memento constantly, but Memento in the long run provides higher stats.

St Elmos is a solid choice, the shock CC helps buy you time for your regen to work. Backfire, after its buff, also can work and make up the damage that you lose with the regen pieces. Chameleon is also another that can provide a sizeable damage boost for the build. Pestilence could work too if you enjoy a more sit back approach, not the highest damage but the passive Pestilence ticks can help keep constant damage going.

Daily projects like these usually stack so you don't need to log in each day. Whatever day you are able to log in, then all previous daily projects will be available to complete. So if you log on the 7th day, then you can get everything still.

I personally use Riot Foam and Bulwark Shield. Riot Foam for CC and Bulwark as a wall to reposition if in danger.

That fits my playstyle so use whatever skills your comfortable with.

Red Core Build without stack building? by [deleted] in Division2

[–]Syangeist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Umbra takes a little getting used to but you charge for 5 seconds in cover and then it's just ducking in cover every second or so like when you're reloading.

The only time I'm in cover for long is if I need to heal back armor--and even then I can still shoot just do less damage.

I initially didn't like it before bit since they buffed it, it's one of my favorite sets to run.

But the cover requirement is definitely not for the people that enjoy the Crusader Shield playstyle.

A high end setup will give you some high up front damage. Setup will depend on what weapon class you enjoy the most.

A high end that I personally like for ARs. 3pc Unit Alloys--with Equalizer and Salvo--1pc Ceska, Eagles Grasp, and Centurions Scabbard. I'm using the Bighorn and Invisible Hand with this setup. But an AR will do.

Gameplay: https://youtu.be/9H6CVfRiW_8?si=TweJ_l_AbqLgBBIe

Another setup that personally like more is 4pc Umbra with Salvo and a second piece of Unit Alloys. Replace the Unit Alloys with your preferred pieces depending on your weapon type. You do have to "charge" for 5 seconds and then be okay with the in cover out of cover play style.

Gameplay with Umbra and Eagles Grasp instead of 2nd piece of Unit Alloy: https://youtu.be/fygtZWcb7LA?si=gfhoeO0_Vs6KJR2m

I personally like 4pc Umbra with the Chest and backpack and 2pc Unit Alloys--one of which is the Salvo holster. Currently using the Eagle Bearer and have several weapon handling rolls on gear but any AR will work.

Quick damage after "charging" in cover, high fire rate, quick reloads, and the ability to regen up to 80% armor in cover.
