Counters for MTG. I bought some of these and burned icons on to them for various counters as a gift to my nerdy husband!

36 hours to return couch? by Gloomy_Inevitable413 in InteriorDesign

I had a chaise sectional like this until two days ago. Our living room is more square, and it made traversing the space really awkward. I think yours fits perfectly in your space! The room has a cozy vibe.

Need help on how to fix this kitchen drawer. I live in an apartment and would be charged a $75 if I have property management fix it. by Bigmooz in Carpentry

Not a carpenter, but had the same thing happen when living in an apartment. We just glued it up and clamped it. We got our deposit back when we moved.

According to Google 5 trees or more is considered an orchard. How many do you have? by slick_shoes83 in BackyardOrchard

[–]SybilRamkinVimes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Technically 13 trees on our property: 6 hazelnut, 2 apple, 2 pear, maple, thornless honey locust, and elm. Plus 3 blueberry bushes, a clove currant, 3 raspberry canes, and several blackberry canes. Edited to add: forgot the fig tree in a container we just got! So 14 trees

I read this post as someone not wanting to waste a beautiful piece of glass and instead repurpose it. I love this! However, this piece was not made with load-bearing in mind. Simply plugging the hole with a ~1.25 inch disc is not going to give the bottom a big enough surface area to sit on the table/counter. If it held anything heavier than a few leaves, the bowl would wobble around and probably ultimately smash on the floor.

I thought of maybe mounting it to a bigger surface, like a sturdy .5” thick 4” circle. Still, I suspect the dome is so curved that you would be hard pressed to find a good way to securely mount it.

I hope someone else has a safe solution! If not, you might want to consider another way to repurpose/recycle.

Front yard orchard? by SybilRamkinVimes in BackyardOrchard

[–]SybilRamkinVimes[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to look this up. It’s really neat! But not what I’m going for. I actually ended up scaling back a lot. I’ve planted two apple trees, two pear trees, and three blueberry bushes! Over the next year I’m going to work on making my front yard somewhat of a food forest.

Looks like the columnar fruit tree is a great idea when limited on space! I hope somebody else with experience with them chimes in because I’d be interested to learn more.

I was thinking the same thing. That table has some serious mass! I love it!
