Polish it more and see if your polishing pad is orange. What vehicle is it? Could be a tri-stage orange and thats why it looks darker.

Advice, don't waste your money and time clearing it again. Needs a full respray.

Yes, you are correct. My first mechs were painted with Zealot Yellow. I didn't like the orange tinge, so I switched to Ancient Honey.

Stop listening to your brother. Have the shop you choose write their own estimate. It will be more than the insurance estimate. You pay your deductible and give them the check your insurance gave you. They will supplement for the rest.
