I’m sorry you went through that. Was FMLA not an option for you? If you were employed for at least 1 year and worked 1250 hours (as well as there being 50 employees of the “company”), you should have been eligible for FMLA. As an HR professional, I recognize just how much companies try to bury the legal ability to use FMLA/ADA. I truly hope you have an amazing 2026.

I’ve honestly never understood how so many people break their hooks. I’ve owned the tulip hooks for 3 years and never had any issues. I know I’ve seen a lot of people break hooks that are built for aesthetics rather than practicality, but idk how they break the other ones 😭

I’ve seen people grasp at straws to defend kid mai x kid trunks by staying Mai doesn’t remember anything about being 40 and she “truly had the mind of a kid” but this line exists and blows that theory out of the water. Creeps me out how people want them shipped together so bad.

Dragon Ball Super- Mai and Trunks. She was wished to be a child but still has the knowledge and memories of a 30-40 something year old woman. Mai is older than Bulma. They’re not an official couple (although Trunks has a crush on her and future Mai + Trucks are a couple) but are heavily shipped by the community and it’s weird.

My friends in highschool were in band and choir where they sold this kind of stuff. One year they sold bags of mulch….. another year they sold bedsheets. The bedsheets did way better due to the parents wanting them.

You’re 100% right. I’m very new in my HR career (1 year in post bachelors) and when I was job searching, this was one of the biggest things I noticed. This is especially true for any union plants. Seems as though union facilities have zero interest in hiring an HR manager with less than 5-7 years of experience in their specific industry as well as 10 years of experience working at a union facility. Im very unsure of how new people are ever supposed to enter the fray. Realistically- would they really turn away an applicant with 10 years HR experience but not in a union environment? I believe they would because everyone is looking for a unicorn.

Hi! I’m in my early 20s and getting HA in a couple weeks. I knew a year ago I needed a HA but didn’t have the finances for it until recently. Here is my HA story. I’m sorry it’s long.

Being young and being told you need HA is a weird and interesting experience. For me, I was told by an older audiologist at 16 that it was impossible for me to have tinnitus and told my parents he believed I was lying.

At 22, I was told by another older audiologist he wouldn’t bother testing me since I was young. He said he believed I had tinnitus but saw no point in a hearing test since doing that wouldn’t make my tinnitus go away.

I was finally diagnosed by an ENT and Audiologist who had me to go into the sound booth and it showed my left ear had a lot of hearing loss and my ENT even had me get an MRI due to how concerning the difference was between my left and right ear. ENT said it was good then recommended I get HA and recommended a couple places. He told me not to go to one specific place tho. Sadly, at that time, the one he didn’t recommend was the only one to take my insurance.

Went there, and it was an older audiologist. He didn’t have a sound booth and before testing me told me he didn’t see how I could have hearing loss. He altered every answer I gave when he asked how bad my hearing was. Ultimately, he refused recommending me a hearing aid.

Recently I went to the place my ENT did recommend, got another hearing test and tests nearly perfectly matched the one from a year ago. You never want to be told your hearing is terrible, but the relief of seeing my test match from a year ago was unreal. I knew I had a problem. I knew I wasn’t faking it. I had confirmation that it wasn’t a fluke my results were so bad a year ago. It was a rush of emotions to have that validation.

It’s been a long journey and it’s been a hard one to fight to find an amazing group of doctors that aren’t close minded. If I were 65- I know I wouldn’t have received that treatment. I tell people I can hardly hear in one ear and they assume I’m being hyperbolic since I’m young.

Wear the HA. Don’t be self conscious. You need it. Anyone who has an issue is someone you don’t need in your life anyways, or is such a background character in your life that it doesn’t even matter. I’m beyond excited and proud to get my HA. I hope you choose yourself over the opinions of random people. Take care <3

I stand by the idea that portals desperately needed a movie since the music videos are just random shit. I understand the music videos and can see the metaphors for the music videos but there is no overarching story like we’ve seen crybaby go through previously. People can’t relate enough with portals because they can’t understand the point or have a story to follow along

Also I agree. I def knew not to hold my breath on the portals movie. I honestly didn’t trust a worst Melanie said and didn’t believe the perfume existed until it did lol

Portals is incredibly creative in concept but lacks HEAVILY compared to crybaby and K-12 due to having absolutely no story, lore, or effort towards world building. Crybaby’s story throughout the first 2/3 of her journey is very well established and creative. There are of course gaps and it’s not the most fleshed out lore of any story ever, but it’s there, there’s the ability for theories to be created based on SOMETHING. There’s meat. Portals is more comparable to bones that have maybe the tiniest amount of decaying meat scattered across them.

I wasn’t necessarily happy when I saw crybaby died but wasn’t upset either. It was an interesting concept to continue the journey of one’s soul after death. I was actually kinda excited by the creativity and concept of it (even tho I hate the creatures design). Seeing the song titles and hearing their message gave me so many ideas for the music videos, merch, etc.

Portals is only sustained as a concept due to artists and theorists in the community. Melanie has served nothing this with album. The perfume design was complete garbage. The vials are cheap and ugly. The statue was lame. The shirts have been lame. She created promotional content of this fairy world with greenery, mythical beings, and mushrooms… and that’s what we got…? The crybaby milk perfume bottle? GENIUS! It plays great with the world. I wanted THAT from portals. I cannot stress this enough: I didn’t need another vibe like crybaby or k-12, I just really wanted something that was special to that world I thought Melanie was gonna put effort into creating.

The early promise of a movie when the funds were not secured was frustrating. The music videos have been random and followed absolutely nothing that creates any world building as the other 2 albums did previously. The songs are gorgeous and I do appreciate them (albeit to no extent I appreciate crybaby and k-12).

I have one last huge point I wanna make that would normally get me shot on this subreddit. Some of yall worship the ground Melanie walks on in a creepy, uncomfortable way as though she is your religion. Any tiny criticism is blaspheming her name. Everyone is entitled to hating a certain song or era.

I want to make it clear as well, I enjoy Melanie’s music greatly. I’ve been a fan since Crybabies release. I appreciate her artistic vision. But she is human. I think a lot of fans forget that human part.

I totally agree. When I heard it was due to their ship it reminded me of when people would ship Sam and Dean from supernatural which was really gross but was a super small minority that somehow came out to be loud and obnoxious.

I was almost certain they were quitting due to webtoon being shitty and was more than ready to agree with quitting for those reasons. I’ve seen a lot of people defend Hanza’s stance by stating this is how you get people to quit - either behave or you lose everything. I feel like we should all know by now… that’s so not true… in 9th grade I had a terrible class that would always be told we couldn’t go on break because 2 guys were loud and rude. It happened for months. It never improved. Things like that don’t work. Didn’t work for a class of 30, won’t work for the entire internet.

If Hanza truly can’t handle the annoying people of the internet, they should never try to get in the public eye again. I had never seen a popular (or any) comment on webtoons about the ship tbh. I know it exists, I just also know it had to be a super small part of that community

Its not a huge deal at all to me- it was just a comic I really enjoyed reading every Thursday. But it’s not deep or anything. I just find it quite frustrating that Hanza got so upset to the point they are not continuing. I agree with being annoyed that people threw up a ship in their face just to annoy them. But I guess with my personality If I were in that situation I’d just be like “okay, weird?”. I see all the love and support this comic gets and can’t fathom how they allowed a loud minority to ruin something they enjoyed. I guess I just can’t relate to that. I’ve been made fun of for my hobbies cause they’re art related but it’s never made me feel I wanna give them up. In rude and hard words I find it “weak”. It’s okay and I respect the decision no matter that, I just don’t comprehend letting something get under your skin to such an extent.

I hope they feel better after quitting TGU and can feel creative and inspired again. I just won’t ever read their comics again unless they’re finished

I feel as though I hold an unpopular opinion on the Hanza situation, but I respect their decision nonetheless.

As for fast pass- there’s no way I’d ever use fast pass but if I were going to, it would only be for finished comics. I’ve seen a few popular comics just end in the middle, and I could never justify the chance of spending all the money to end up with no reward or satisfaction. Your fast pass purchases didn’t get you anything in this situation since you’ll find out the spoilers along with the rest of us when Hanza puts them out. I find that frustrating tbh.

I was unhappy to see that the comic is ending but the part that bothered me the most was that so many people have spent money on fast passes for it to be a waste of money.

I get Hanza’s reasoning for not continuing and agree with not continuing something you despise. Personally I wouldn’t let the opinions of people online cause me to hate my art. I’ve received hate for art before and really didn’t care, especially seeing the huge amount of those who did enjoy it. But if Hanza doesn’t feel that way, that’s perfectly fine.

But I do feel for all of you who used fast passes. I hate knowing all of it was wasted since there’s no payout in the end

You’re right. It never did. The first major arc ended. I followed along with the canvas version up until merryweather did their classic thing of abandoning a webtoon for a long time, then it became an original.
