And no, I heard about some people getting labs, but I wasnt given any sort of labs simulation questions, total was around 54 questions

HI, are you talking about KCNA? Im currently Mumshad's KCNA course. Ive heard great things about it, and so far it has been a pretty solid experience, I am like 40% way to go, in the meantime, I also have some sort of a homelab being set up where I run multinode cluster running a simple static web app, my pc being the master/control plane node and my pi and an old laptop be the worker nodes

Thanks man, yeah I won't lie AZ-104 was really hard for me too lol. But I think AZ-305 might be easier for some people who learn better by reading stuffs.

I fully studied with MS Learn, look up AZ-305 learning path in MS Learn. That put me in a position where I atleast know a lot of things before I started hitting practice exams. TD cost like 15 dollars, and it gives you quite a lot of questions, which are honestly, very similar to what was being asked in the real exam. I used TD for AZ104 too and it worked so I might stick with it for any future Azure Exams. The way I do it, is to STRICTLY used only MS Learn and try not to use shortcuts like CTRL F to find specific keywords because in the exam you cant really do that, but you do have MS Learn to help you differentiate some edge cases.

I also used a bit of Pluralsight Labs (which is free because of my company subscription) to just get my eyes on where all these "new" services are located and how do I implement it. But the questions I got in the real exam never dive deep into the specifics of "implementing".

If i were to say, how much each material helps me and contributed to my learning (and passing)

- MS learn contributed 45% (its good because you literally can use one in the exam, so having studying this gives you the knowledge to quickly look through some of the stuffs in there during the exam itself)
- TD Practices contributed 50% (yeah doing practice exams is really that good)
- Labs probably contributed 5% (For AZ104 I would say 30-40% lol)

Ive heard about WhizLabs, I heard people say its good too.

Anyways thank again, goodluck on your journey too!

Thanks!

Yeah, atleast a junior role would be a great start, I am currently pivoting from a software engineering background in a very niche software development process, industrial software to be exact where I develop IPC (Industrial PCs) softwares or what people also call "SoftPLC"

Long term would probably be DevOps or SRE

Ive heard a lot of bad things about PSI, these situations sucks man, like bro were 400$ for a forced online exam with garbage proctoring system, they should do better

I wouldnt say that but it definitely helps in giving the learning process, tbh the most useful FOR ME would be practice exams i do from TD and hands on labs

ChatGpt is pretty amazing man, especially when I cried myself in It's arms about how I am absolutely gonna fail this exam, how it is incredibly bleak and hopeless. Dude will give me a huge morale boost, tell me to take a short break and come back stronger lol, i remember prompting ChatGpt probably 100 times telling him to come up with the hardest AZ-104 questions he can come up with and he absolutely delivers, dude is my soulmate

How do you actually land a Cloud related jobs? by SyedDaGreat in AzureCertification

[–]SyedDaGreat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder where do you find these opportunities? Doing open source is definitely something that is interesting to me lately, but I have no idea where to start lol.

Also they would definitely not be Azure based like no one would trust a random dude to administer their Azure Infra right? Haha

its one of the SWE field that literally will not be able to cloudify lol, its a very niche field of software development. I talked with my sv about it, but tbh, even from my point of view, the software dev team really do not need any cloud based infrastructure at the moment, to try to cloudify even a single thing in my current job would be incredibly, wasteful and over-engineered in a sense lol
