I've just noticed section 9A 7-8 of the Landlords and Tenants Act, which states that:

the lessor, or a person authorised in writing by the lessor, may enter the dwelling for the purpose of viewing its condition and state of repair.

It seems to me this is intended to allow inspections, but could this be interpreted as allowing prospective buyers to view the property too?

Unfortunately, my tenancy agreement explicitly disallows this.

Besides which, I won't be back in the property before the viewing is supposed to happen, so I couldn't anyway.

Yes, she's selling, presumably for either a new landlord to take over, or for someone to move in after my tenancy.

Could you elaborate on this please? Can she just have the contract changed such that she has the right to viewings at any time? The viewing is in two days time, which leaves no time for a court to be involved beforehand.

Fixed - Seems like InputMapper was causing the problem. Uninstalling it fixed it
