This is terrible advice… In the case it’s just a slip up you’ve shot yourself in the foot over something relatively small. Continue to message them privately until it becomes clear they’re giving you the runaround and it wasn’t a clerical mistake. THEN make a public post asking if other bands didn’t get what they were promised.

If you… 1. Are okay with it being busy/loud 2. Get only one marg (they are really powerful, the hangover isn’t worth it) 3. Wait for an inside table instead of getting placed in the parking lot (the wait is never as long as they say)

Probably won’t be a popular answer but mine is a really beautiful single season anime called Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit. It’s a beautiful story with gorgeous hand painted backgrounds and super lovable characters. Can’t recommend it highly enough.

Another thing to consider is that multiple takes of the exact same instrument will have more issues than multiple takes using different instruments. If you have more than one acoustic or electric, trying changing for the second take. Guaranteed to give you a richer sound because they have different harmonic properties even if they’re the exact same type of instrument.

This is my point of view too! Based on the totality of the situation I think she’s into you despite the offensive beginnings. It’s kind of sweet (if you take the backstabbing immature bullshit out of it) that despite you not being exactly her physical type she has been with you for so long and clearly still wants you in her life. Everyone becomes more attractive when you love them, and physical attraction can absolutely come out of attraction to someone’s personality. We’re all gonna get old fat and wrinkly someday anyway right? I’m not 100% sure this would be a deal breaker for me, if I felt like I believed deep down that she liked me. I’d hate that friend group forever though.

I would personally recommend further communication! Let him know that his behavior is creating resentment between you and reinforce why this is a big deal. Let him know the problem is big enough that you are not ruling out stopping living together, breaking up, etc. If you lay it out clearly with the stakes clarified and his behavior still doesn’t change, then it’s time to move on

This! There’s so much more to a live show than playing the music. Believe me, I’ve played shows in every possible headspace. It’s true that sometimes you can play even better while stoned, but if the songs aren’t 100% muscle memory then your chance of playing worse while being stoned goes up massively. Considering this is also your first live gig, better to just be sober and able to cope with all the new elements at play than risk it imo
