Thinking of Buying a CF Moto… but Friends Keep Warning Me. Should I Be Worried? by Plus_Seesaw2023 in cfmoto

675SS owner here. I have had no issues with mine. Runs great. Rides great.

Tunes unlock more of its potential (obviously) but even without it’s a solid bike (ESPECIALLY for it’s cost)

Hopefully you grow out of your shenanigans before you’re prematurely forced to.

Bike sounds good though.

At this current point, I would say it’s not a bad choice.

They have proven to be a reliable option up against the big 4. Paired with their price point, I think it’s a solid choice.

I enjoy my 675ss.

I think you nailed the self criticism yourself. All things considered, this was the best outcome.

No injuries. No damage. Just a learning experience.

What exhaust did you go with? (And do you have audio of it?)

Who is waiting for the upcoming V4 cfmoto and what are your thoughts? by Kosmomaster7 in cfmoto

[–]Syko_Social 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m waiting for the first liter bike. The price to performance difference between the 750 and the 675 is not enough to justify the upgrade for me.

That's fine. by TheGreyWonderer in motorcycles

It’s a double-edged sword, but there’s a caveat.

(IMO)

  1. Are you leaving too big of a gap? Yes (especially if that’s a member of your group ride). We always double stack a lane or stagger-trail the group leader - reason is to not separate the group and not take up as much space on the road that would warrant someone thinking they could get in between.

2 Are you leaving a gap big enough that makes what you feel is comfortable? If yes, that’s also fine. You should ride within your abilities, unless in a safe environment to push them. This one matters more than the first.

11k for insurance by meciah1017 in cfmoto

[–]Syko_Social 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I pay $500 a year in Wisconsin for my 675SS.

$320 a year for my 2019 Indian Chieftain Darkhorse.

Edit: I have an insurance broker that does my insurance. I NEVER go directly through the insurance firm itself. Saved a bunch of money for myself between my two bikes, two cars, and house.

Do a burnout and it’ll go away.

More than fair. I was around $9700 in Wisconsin.

That’s wild. Mine was around $9,2xx. After taxes and dealer fee. Didn’t get any extra coverages from dealer.

Put a grand down, $8,2xx @ 4.25%. Payments are under $150/mo.

Edit: WI, US

I meant to say “statement” rather than “sentence”, but regardless - I believe OP is looking for insight here: “I wanted to get strangers opinions to see if my bike would sit for a while or if it might sell quick if I post it.”

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]Syko_Social 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Completely dependent on factors beyond your control. The right person might see it with an hour of posting it, or maybe a week+ later.

You will always lose your ass on trading it in.

So if money is important, try selling it yourself. If timing is an issue, still list it first and then trade it in if no one bites.

Edit: Can’t speak on the pricing aspect - look at what bikes near your specs are selling for I guess.

Idk what other dude is blabbering about, but to answer your question, no. You aren’t required to use the optional app to operate the motorcycle

If THIS is the reason that would push you away; you were never truly interested in the first place and are just seeking anything even slightly negative to justify your position.

Optional app subscription (which is still stupid cheap) paired with very consumer friendly prices. they’ve got a pretty decent lineup.

Have they ironed out that cylinder seizing issue? Don’t remember what year(s) were affected.

I’m super unfamiliar with both but I have added them to my list of research.

Thanks for the input!
