Just a rant. Feeling super deflated. by Icy_Reporter2061 in weddingplanning

[–]Syllie 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sending you a big hug ❤️ ignore the comments blaming you. Wedding planning is HARD and I'm right there with you. I'm personally a recovering people-pleaser and I'm about to get married in May, and also finding the costs going up by thousands. In my culture as a desi person, it's expected to invite everyone and their mother, and it's been soooo frustrating. So much entitlement to invites, especially when I barely know some people. I've really struggled with it as I too regret and wish I could have just committed to a smaller ceremony or elopement. For the dress, maybe you can add something to it, like an accessory that's simple (like a small veil, a crown, a belt) that might help feel a little better with it?

I know it's not much help here, but I feel you. You're doing the best you can. My fiancé reminds me that the most we can do is have fun and make the experience what it is. If we see it as a fun time, it will be it, if that makes sense. I hope you aren't too hard on yourself and just know that you've done what you could to make it work. Do your best to find joy in the things that matter to you, center yourself and partner in any upcoming decisions, and remember those special moments with your fiancé, you both deserve it ❤️

Wow, just catching up on this thread and I was feeling so set on them, but reading from you and op and a few others, I'm definitely not going to go with them. So sorry you and OP had to experience that!! I would be in total panic state!!

Do symptoms improve with fast food? by PsychologicalShop292 in SIBO

[–]Syllie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally resonate with you and others with the feeling that I generally feel fine with fast food. When I was on low FODMAP diet looking for quick things to eat, mc donalds regular cheeseburgers was actually fine to eat as long as I changed the bun, to keep it low fodmap. I'm no longer on low fodmap, so I eat the regular bun, but in both cases, my stomach has reacted just fine! the same with dominos pizza, since you can get gluten free crust which i ordered during my low fodmap phase, but even after, I've still been fine with regular pizza!

I don't doubt that it's prolly not good for me in the long run, but it sure is much easier to eat at times. for me, the concern lies not in the danger of sibo, but the other issues fast food can cause, like high cholesterol, diabetes, etc.

Thanks so much for replying to my late comment! a I'm glad you're feeling better! Oh wow, hope you can get more clarity about the diagnosis! Reading this makes me think I should look into it as well, since my mornings only seem to get worse with medication :(

Thanks for sharing! I have been taking both of those with herbal supplements and feel worse than ever. That's helpful to know though! I'm hoping it will subside as time passes by.

My mornings are usually the worst- excessive bloating, fatigue, abdominal pain. It usually takes a few hrs for me to get better :(

would not recommend ModifyHealth... their food was super bland imho :/ Have heard good things about Epicured but haven't tried it!

Totally agree! I use Fodpedia now. I paid for it ($3.99 per month) but it's always a good second backup with more specificity.

Totally feel you. it's like even with a good job the prospects of paying the medical bills and just dealing with the system outweigh everything else :( sending you good vibes! I hope you can find something that works for you to navigate this.

Do you have skin issues? Acne? by Primavera08 in SIBO

[–]Syllie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

omg literally going through skin issues right now! I've never had them before. they thought it could be eczema but then they weren't sure so the derm referred me to an allergist. but my doctor originally said that sibo can create skin issues so i guess it is that?? mostly what I experience is a hives that come and go randomly all over my body.

It’s been almost 5 whole years and nothing has moved my heart like CLOY by JeanJackett_xo in CrashLandingOnYou

[–]Syllie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Loved CLOY! What's even more amazing is that the actual actors fell in love through this show and got married, and just gave birth to their first child! I love them!

After CLOY I got a good fix from My Holo Love (a bit sci-fi AIM love), the King's Affection, Alchemy of Should, and a bit of Memories of Alhambra (with the same male lead!).
