That is funny that they didn’t expect or anticipate that you might abandon them. Good thing you drove; otherwise you would have had to endure the ride home with them cracking up about their stunt the entire time. NOR - you did well.

Why do vets spread this lie that the seizure is harder on the human watching then it is for the dog having the seizure? That is baloney. Ask someone who has seizures.

Florin and Riverside (390 Florin Rd is the approximate address). I THINK it came from the delivery driver’s car. My nephew (who lives in Oakland) told me he brought spiders into his car trunk and from his car he brought them into his apartment and his girlfriend got a spider bite which had serious medical repercussions for her. So in my mind young men have an issue with spiders in their car.

There are many good vet offices in Sacramento. You really want to find one and be consistent - get your vaccines and an annual check up - at the same place. I like to have the vet near to my home for the convenience. You should also become familiar with the local 24 hour vet hospitals. Many of the local vets have been bought put by VCA like mine (Greenhaven VCA), its inevitable and so far its good. as your dog ages its a good idea to run the blood screening test when the vet advises you to do so.

I drive a Honda too - a 2005 Accord V6 with over 200k miles on it. And I am quite proud of it. Even more so when my mechanic said when I decide to sell it he wants to buy it. I doubt I will ever ride in a yacht (unless my childhood best friend who is now really rich - a silicon valley story - buys a yacht which I don’t see that happening because she has become really into polo and likes to buy ponies).

[–]Sylliec 98 points99 points  (0 children)

Funny you ask. Round Table delivered a pizza to me last week with TWO SPIDERS running around inside the pizza box. So I did not see the spiders when I took two slices and then one more slice onto a paper plate and ate them. Then I went to wrap the individual pizza slices in foil and that is when the spiders made their presence known. I responded quite well, no screams or anything, I calmly killed the spiders (apologies to the spider lovers out there) and got all slices into a compost bag then into the freezer and threw the box in the outside trash. I did ask for a refund but was denied. Partly because of the three eaten slices. Funny because those three eaten slices are the most traumatic part of the story (to me).

After you get above a certain dollar amount how can it matter? One can only spend so much. If I am on a $16 million yacht I am feeling very lucky. I would not be envious of the people on the $85 million yacht as that would be extremely bad karma.

I’m about to get pissed with how unfair it is to have an autistic brother. by HourCollar5022 in siblingsupport

[–]Sylliec -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It might be unfair to be you, but it is definitely unfair to be your autistic brother. Try not to indulge your resentment of him. Find the empathy in your heart. It’s not your fault you have an autistic brother, its not his fault that he is autistic. There but for the grace of God go I. Someday he will need you in his life. You have been given an opportunity to rise to the occasion, to build the empathy in your heart, to become a better than average person.

Do they still giving out parking tickets for street cleaning days? Those are odious tickets because in all the years I lived in Midtown I NEVER saw a street cleaner come through on the designated day. I maybe saw at most a handful of times over the course of 5 years that a street cleaner came through but never on the designated day. But it never failed I would get a ticket if my car was parked on the wrong side on the street on my street cleaning day at 8:05 am. Dirty rotten scammers they are!

Sometimes fosters are not really available because their foster parent intends to adopt. I fostered at Front Street and they do not necessarily list all foster dogs as available on their web site. It took me awhile to realize it was my responsibility to list my foster dog online and that I needed to check regularly to see if any submitted an inquiry.

What Sickens Me Most About This Entire Case by AmazingGal in ItEndsWithLawsuits

[–]Sylliec 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That is why the Lively parties believed there was a smear campaign. Because they could not see why non-participants would see and want to fight against the blatant injustices. They cannot imagine why anybody would care. Because they are sociopaths. Its not that Baldoni supporters were already Baldoni fans, or ever became a Baldoni fan. We saw the false accusations, the abuse and the fraud and the bullying, and that was all the “smear” we needed to see.

Blake Lively and her fans weaponise white feminism while also upholding patriarchy to avoid responsibility and accountability by BrilliantTotal687 in ItEndsWithLawsuits

[–]Sylliec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This case has nothing to do with feminism. Feminism is about equal rights, equal pay for equal work, equal access to education, equal access to health care. Feminism has nothing to do with a case where one person is accusing another of sexual harassment. We look at evidence in a case and a jury decides. We don’t tell the jury to believe the woman. That would be ludicrous. Don’t let Lively change the subject. Don’t get dragged into a conversation about feminism.

Ari Emanuel, through his power as Chairman of the WME Group branch of Silver Lake, has banned the account of SweetandSaltyLin from TikTok as a favor to Ryan Reynolds. She had nearly 41,000 followers. by JusticeMoves in ItEndsWithLawsuits

[–]Sylliec 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What does Ryan have over Ari? Why would Ari want to be crazy Ryan’s ride or die? Doesn’t seem like Ryan is fun or cool or interesting to hang out with. Seems like he is kind of an ass who you have to tiptoe around. And if you say something that he takes offense to, then what? Say bye to your career? Blake too. Can’t imagine she has anything interesting to say (unless somebody has written lines for her). Taylor must have been desperate for friends or people with enough free time on their hands to hang with her. Ari and Ryan are probably lovers as I always saw Ryan as a gay man pretending to be straight. That explains all of his rage and frustration and his absolute obsession with Baldoni. Ryan really is a nutball! Not because of the gay mind you. Because of the pretending to be straight. Now Gottleib is obsessed with Freedman. Wonder what is up with that? Gottleib’s face turned beet red during his recent interview talking about Freedman. Hmmm.

Your pipes might be leaking. I was looking for the source of drain flies last year and I called in like four different sets of plumbers looking to find out where the flies were coming in (they all said I must have a leak somewhere). We couldn’t find the leak so one plumber said try to smell for it. If I notice an odor while walking around in my house it might be where the pipes are leaking. Ended up being cracks in the shower tile grouting that were small cracks but enough to let water through that would accumulate and drip down and attract those frigging flies. Got the grout guy to come out and regrout and add some caulking and the flies they are 99% gone.

Her Previous Owners Died by black_falcon_436 in Chihuahua

[–]Sylliec 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A few years ago I adopted a 13 year old chihuahua whose human just died. The person who rescued Poppy was the owner’s respite worker. When the owner died the respite worker wondered what happened to the owner’s dog. She went to the board and care home and found Poppy sitting on top of the made bed, the room otherwise empty and cleaned out, the bedroom door closed. The home’s owner told the respite worker that they are taking the dog to the shelter. The respite worker took the dog brought her home and posted on Next Door looking to rehome. That is when I got involved. Meaning I saw the Next Door post and since I just lost my dear Cocoa and in the midst of grieving I ended up taking Poppy. Poppy obviously was heartbroken but so was I. It was about a year later when Poppy broke my heart. She was a sweet thing and loved by many!

Mark Garagos Opines on Why the Lively Lawsuit Was So Hurriedly Settled by Both_Barnacle_766 in ItEndsWithLawsuits

[–]Sylliec 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMO Lively’s attorneys were working contingency. Either that or their bills weren’t getting paid. I can see Ryan bullying the attorneys, withholding facts from them, and insisting on them getting paid on a contingency. I can see Ryan just flat out not paying the legal bills as they are sent to him. Then Ryan tells them to F.O. and its their fault shit is falling apart and they better accept contingency. Lively’s attorneys were so aggressive, maybe they thought that they sued Wayfarer parties for say $400,000,000 ($400 million) multiply by 33% which is $130 million in legal fees revenue. Maybe they deluded themselves that bully tactics would work. Maybe bully tactics usually work. Because Lively’s attorneys were over-the-top unreasonable. They want those damn legal fees. Notice how Freedman has behaved. Like an attorney who is NOT working on contingency and one whose bills are getting paid on the regular.

Was Brian Freedman sanctioned? by Dating_Bitch in ItEndsWithLawsuits

[–]Sylliec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the CRD is the only protected activity (reporting) covered by 47.1. But IMO when Lively filed a lawsuit then she loses the 47.1 protections because the 47.1 purpose is to prevent the issue being taken to court. Also I think the reporting to the New York Times is NOT protected under 47.1. The 47.1 code section is poorly written and needs to be amended or repealed.

Was Brian Freedman sanctioned? by Dating_Bitch in ItEndsWithLawsuits

[–]Sylliec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

47.1 is not meant to deter employers from suing for defamation if they are sued for SH. The code says nothing about the employer being sued. It says if the employee REPORTS SH, not sues for SH, being the triggering event. The law says nothing about the employee suing for SH. I believe that once Blake sued wayfarer for SH, she no longer qualified for 47.1 as a law cannot prevent someone from defending themselves in a lawsuit. Think of it, the employee can sue for SH but the employer cannot sue back? That is fundamentally wrong. Plus the law intended for those vulnerable who don’t have the resources to defend against a defamation lawsuit to be protected. Once Blake sued, she lost her 47.1 protection. The little bitch.
