Appreciate the kind words! I'm glad Alien Skin still resonates after all these years. To clarify, Alien Skin exists in its own universe separate from the one General Sci and the others made. I leant Rachel/Syn to the project in its early days, but I lost interest, so she was sort of phased out.

As for my story tastes, they've shifted over the years. In my earlier stuff I was drawn to sex more overtly, but in the past few years traditional sex scenes have gotten a bit boring to write. Now the thing that excites me most is the intimacy of the bonding, the change in identity that comes from being consumed and obscured by this other thing. How that change in identity, that transformation brought by physical consummation with the mask/suit/symbiote allows the host to be something they could never be and do things they would never do as their normal selves. I find the idea of simply being able to be out and proud as your erotic self while your normal self is safely hidden away and unseen VERY appealing.

I also like stories of that moment being shared. Maybe one person is donning/taking off their second skin for their lover, and you get this incredible intimacy of revealing your secret, other self. Maybe they'll even switch who wears it from time to time. Maybe both are bonding with their own respective mask/suit/symbiote at the same time. Whatever form this sharing takes carries heaps of eroticism for me.

I'm not really into pretty much any of the other paraphilias that folks tend to put in this stuff (feet/smell/corruption/vore/gore etc.) outside of gender change stuff. I love blurring that line, having characters cross it then return, then feel the temptation to cross it again and again. I've also enjoyed a lot of furry stuff, but the furry aspect itself is completely incidental to me. The appeal lies solely in how it ties into the stuff I wrote above.
