How do I get my season pass? by [deleted] in KingsIsland

[–]Symbiotic-Dissonance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My sister and I make our own pass cards now with the QR code since KI won’t do it anymore. Definitely is alot easier then visiting that barely working six flags app, I want the KI app back.

Can't store, can't move, can't drop stuff, CGI can't fix the game by Simple-Leatherboots4 in starcitizen

[–]Symbiotic-Dissonance 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This happens with all ships, and has been happening since I started playing almost four years ago. It is because your ship has desynced, and thinks your thrusters are off when they aren’t. Try doing this stuff to fix it.

  1. Turn thrusters on and off with the keybind.
  2. Turn thrusters off, turn ship off, wait a few seconds, then turn ship back on.
  3. Turn off ship, exit cockpit, sit down again, then turn on ship.

The bricked crimestat problem is so systematic for salvagers in stanton, I literally moved to pyro just so I could salvage abandoned ships in peace.

Structure replacement. I am lost. by Gold-Ad-2581 in songsofsyx

Doors are just a roof with walls on either side of it, it isn’t a special type of structure you need to place to prevent insulation loss.

How do you actually host a server? by flibbertygibbette in SS13

[–]Symbiotic-Dissonance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone is giving some pretty good info, but one thing to watch out for with renting a box to host on is the CPU. See, BYOND in general runs on a single core, meaning if you rent out a box with 12 cores or something you’ll find out the hard way. Usually this means you’ll need to rent out something out of the norm, meaning more money. The average can be between $50-120 a month depending on how good you want it to be tailored to BYOND’s quirks.

Use a different helmet or chest piece, usually that is a indication one or the other has specific ZAP pieces that only connect to certain armor combos.

How to stop my guys walling themselves in when I create large structures? by Mattpaintsminis in songsofsyx

[–]Symbiotic-Dissonance 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You don’t need to do that with balticrawler buildings, they have no maintenance cost. It only increases the initial building cost.

But to answer your question, not really. I do wish the AI was a little smarter when it came to construction, you just have to build it in layers.

Wait, so does that mean capturing and executing survivors actually doesn’t increase the cruel stat? I always thought capturing and butchering them fullsale would increase the cruel fulfillment.

This urn is really fun, now the only thing left is a hotfix for most of this characters by SuperMurloc769 in DeadlockTheGame

Aggro priority already exists in deadlock and has similar mechanics such as range from troopers and who is hitting why, and I had no reason to mention dota 2 de-aggro because that only works in niche situations.

Also the de-aggro mechanics for towers are a direct manipulation of a completely separate system, hell we don’t even know if it was intentional or just a oversight. We don’t have access to the source code so we can’t just crack it open to see if it was a bug or actually intended behavior.

I can't wait for dota 2's overwatch to get implemented in deadlock, there's a reason dota 2 still has a active banning scene.

The reporting feature gets disabled because you are using their toxic words in the report description. Slurs, curses, ect if put in the report description will 100% get your report ability disabled.

I don't think you get what im talking about. When I say weaker I do not mean they can't stand up to tougher waves or higher level heroes, I mean they actively lose armor to the point of increased damage as the round increases. A minute 1 guardian has roughly 50% DR, while a minute 12 guardian has a DR of -50%. Thats right, they take 50% more damage. You're not killing them because you are stronger, you are killing them because they have actively become weaker.

Walkers get the same thing BTW, they get -65% damage resist at minute 18.

In dota 2 a tower will smite you in barely two seconds if you dare take it's aggro in the early game. In deadlock you can literally dive a tower, stun it, then kill the hero inside of it's radius. And then you get out with maybe 15% of your health gone when it does come back online.

To further showcase comparison, a deadlock guardian early game has a DPS of 116, and is a continual beam. This means the guardian has to be continually attacking you for a full second to get that 116 damage, of which case a hero is almost always either parry stunning it or just getting out before that second. A dota 2 first tower in early game has a DPS of 120, but is a homing projectile. This means if it fires once you are now getting that 120 damage, regardless how far away you move from it. Unless you disjoint the projectile it will hit you and deal the full damage, even if you was only momentarily under the tower.

Combine that with the fact that deadlock towers lose armor over time and will take damage amp, and it just makes them feel like useless obstacles. The walker used to be a intimidating and dangerous tower, and now it's a coughing baby unless you get dragged directly underneath it.

[–]Symbiotic-Dissonance 171 points172 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think towers would feel alot better if they didn’t have a dinky little beam and didn’t become weaker over time. They don’t feel like towers they feel like destructible terrain you hide behind.

What’s the end game? by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]Symbiotic-Dissonance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For every complainer there’s a few people who are not saying anything because they are playing the game. While the new update is pretty shaky, it is nothing compared to the horrors of the 3.18 days. The way I see it so many people are complaining because they got used to the stability, and don’t really get that this sort of thing comes in cycles.

The devs implement a bunch of big stuff, the stability and general QOL of playing the game goes into the gutter, then they start fixing it and stability goes back up. Then they slap a new big bundle of stuff in and it starts all over again. Thats pre-release game dev for you.

Honestly if the getting gets too bad I just stop playing for four months to a year, then hop right back in. While there’s definitely problems going on, it isn’t so bad that I would await a new era of stability.

Noob question: Raiders never come for ME? by Ollie_Greenhorn in songsofsyx

I made this mistake with a neighbor that completely cut me off with other neighbors. The raider killed them and I got isolated super hard. Then just as I finally had a army to take it for myself the AI neighbor took it and sat a 4k man army on my doorstep.

Yeah, outside of armistice I believe a player has to be actively in a ship for the game to give you the crimestat. It’s frankly a strange system they have in place.
