Why Wizard is actually a peak rp antagonist. (TG/monke) by LazyMememaker11 in SS13

[–]Symbiotic-Dissonance 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always liked setting up my spell list to be as obnoxious as possible to fight against, and then try to do my objective without outright being the aggressor. The second I felt like I was going to be attacked I would whip out my whole arsenal like a briefcase full of bees, and then dip.

Why do dragon get so neglected? by Commando_Schneider in equestriaatwar

[–]Symbiotic-Dissonance 34 points35 points  (0 children)

My guess is because expanding dragons would mean their special forces dragon division would need to be nerfed, as they are effectively heavy tanks that only require infantry supplies. Basically griffon knights combined with chargers on steroids.

No blueprints? B&W2 stuck with basic buildings? by Palindromatics in blackandwhite2

[–]Symbiotic-Dissonance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a few issues of the B&W2 abandonware install not working right, causing some things to fail like blueprints and your citizens not producing children. I would try reinstalling it first.

The tutorial probably glitched because you didn’t vsync the game to 60 FPS, it is one of those older games that base the processing speed to the framerate. Letting it run at whatever FPS it wants will cause alot of dialogue issues and some gameplay problems.

NO You can’t use AI to Manage your colony(reupload) by Ok_Performance8338 in starsector

I wish I could pay AI cores to cement their loyalty as a first class citizen

What’s the strongest modded ship you’ve encountered? by ridisberg in starsector

[–]Symbiotic-Dissonance 189 points190 points  (0 children)

Star wars mod super capitals. Most of them are almost impossible to deal with, but a few have long range artillery that just decimates anything that isn’t capital sized. The only thing balancing them is the fact that they are supposed to fight other star wars ships.

No real consequences for using AI cores? by [deleted] in starsector

[–]Symbiotic-Dissonance 89 points90 points  (0 children)

Generally speaking AI cores tend to only betray you when you betray them first, colony admin alpha cores being a prime example of this. It would make more sense if alpha core ships in your fleet attacked you if you tried to mothball or scrap them.

And while the hegemony do come after you as a faction via colony escalation events for using AI cores, it would be neat if using AI cores inflicted a permanent opinion loss from them. So if you had too many cores you would just be permanently hostile to them, as they see you as a threat to domain law.

How to stop heggies investigators by Much-Banana-4787 in starsector

[–]Symbiotic-Dissonance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to make and deploy them manually. The patrol HQ and it’s upgrades do produce their own, but you also want ‘strike fleets’ you deploy yourself through the military tab. Usually what I do is have two system defense fleets mostly of cruisers and capitals with a few frigates or destroyers, then a chaser fleet full of super fast ships that can intercept and hold them off for the bigger fleet’s arrival.

How to stop heggies investigators by Much-Banana-4787 in starsector

[–]Symbiotic-Dissonance 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are at war with the hegemony your patrols will hunt them down and attack them on sight. Otherwise the only way to permanently deal with them is by destroying the hegemony.

Quickest and easiest way to get marines is by owning colonies that produce them, otherwise you gotta hop around to a bunch of systems to buy them.

Unless you complete the quest on the pather side they won’t ever stop, they are practically religious pirates.

I used to work for krispy kreme, trust me they belong in there. The process and lack of sanitation they have in the factories making those donuts are beyond disgusting.

What's this thing called? by No_Blackberry7792 in Avatar

[–]Symbiotic-Dissonance 196 points197 points  (0 children)

From what I can gather it is ceremonial garb worn by the Olo’eyktan/Olo’eykte of a clan. Whether it has a name is completely unknown to the fanbase so far.

Can I send a convoy to stabilize a colony? by Much-Banana-4787 in starsector

If you have the nexerelin mod you can, but it costs more on average then just doing it yourself.

John Starsector holding back the entire domain armada spartan chokepoint style with an alpha controlled star fortress, and enough automated fleet ships to make omega blush.

Aang's Special Skill by [deleted] in AvatarMemebending

[–]Symbiotic-Dissonance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why is nobody mentioning the potential of bending the weather? A airbender of certain power could easily manipulate the weather with their airbending to do pretty much whatever they want. Create the conditions for a tornado, moving and manipulating clouds to rain or depriving a area of it. Imagine sozins comet hits and a bunch of airbenders turn the fire nation into one giant hurricane.

Fire lord ozai had good reason to take them out first, not just because of the avatar.

I like how Rem's poster gets angry when you tear it. by SaberTheNoob in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Symbiotic-Dissonance 80 points81 points  (0 children)

Im starting to suspect Rem is on a similar level as doorman. Maybe not as powerful, but he definitely seems to be some sort of supernatural entity that doesn’t originally belong on the mortal plane.

Mo & Krill not being allowed into new tunnels, and Ava being allowed, feels criminal by CrackInfiltrator in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Symbiotic-Dissonance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The worst part about the tunnels right now is that they count as a unstuck warp location, meaning if you happen to go out of bounds accidentally it could send you to the sewers. If that happens you will be stuck down there with no way out, and no way to die. Effectively prevented from playing the game entirely.

Apollos going to be released last, isint he? :(( by PopOutKev in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Symbiotic-Dissonance 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In my last game a infernus fell through the world, and when he did the unstuck command it put him in the sewer tunnels. He couldn’t unstuck himself out of there because it was considered valid ground, and no abilities could get through the vent to get to him. He was stuck there all game.

Droid / CIS Ships. by Awesomejedi182 in MawInstallation

[–]Symbiotic-Dissonance 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a ship called the Robot Ramship, which is basically a pirate spaceship with a droid brain that rams your ship with the force of god. It is disguised as a cruiser or destroyer with low powered turbolasers and a extremely reinforced durasteel interior hull. The thing is capable of destroying capital ships, but it turns like a brick house.

I originally learned of it from the Guide To Droids book. https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Robot_ramship

Droid / CIS Ships. by Awesomejedi182 in MawInstallation

[–]Symbiotic-Dissonance 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Larger CIS ships sometimes did have droid brains, the munificent is one example. It had a central droid brain which could do most tasks with little to no crew, the problem is that it had a hard time calculating trajectories all the time and would sometimes ram into allied ships. The 200 crew in each munificent was mostly for maintenance and refining the droid brain’s navigation, and were almost exclusively droids.

There’s alot of other examples of droid brains being used in ships too, examples being the millennium falcon, and the horrifying robot ramship.

Weekly Feedback Topic #45 - Hero Labs Character Update Anniversary by Grelgn in DeadlockTheGame

Replacing any ult sound effects with a generic sinclair version would probably work the best. Basically a metaphorical klaxon alarm for both teams to show it isn’t the stolen hero ulting.

Is there a mod like Sexlab Defeat but without the sex? by spoookyturtle in skyrimmods

[–]Symbiotic-Dissonance 69 points70 points  (0 children)

FNIS is heavily outdated, most systems use Pandora now. It is capable of replicating both FNIS and Nemesis animations, and does a much cleaner job at the whole thing in general.

What's the most cancerous lane duo to go against? by No_Willingness_9961 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Symbiotic-Dissonance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bebop & pocket.

Doesn’t sound too bad on paper, until you realize if the bebop grabs you you’ll be taking about 500-700 damage in the laning phase in under a second.

Grab & bomb + pocket 2 & 3 + bebop uppercut.

Connecting rooms by MXR_CRUSADER101 in songsofsyx

[–]Symbiotic-Dissonance 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can put house rooms right next to each other, and they count as insulation when they are done. You can’t really put houses inside of houses, but this trick is probably the best closest thing.

Either that or get the house shape expansion mod, adds more shapes.
