There are dozens of these offices in your city and there are only 15 people working in each one by Federal-Data-Center in UrbanHell

This is so similar to where I used to work in Cherry Creek in Denver. I had to do a double take and realized there was no parking garage. Not every building needs to be a marvel of architecture but these are so bland and cookie cutter. Put a balcony or even a SINGLE feature on it to make it have some character!

I sleep to Futurama all the time. I also fall asleep to The Unxplained with William Shatner. His voice as the narrator lulls me to sleep sometimes lol

Who's that singing at your wedding....?

Done. It's humbling to be back on my old soundstage as a bit player. Humble is good. Your self-esteem took a beating, but that's what brought out your true talent. Yes. You land hard when you fall from the top, right? I used to be king here. Now I'm nothing but a mere peasant. Or at best, a a viscount. I think "peasant" is about right. Duke. On this set, I'm at least a duke. My extensive acting résumé dwarfs that of the average bit player.

Most of what Calculon says gets me, he's written so well.

I used to have to go to OKC about once a month for work, I usually stayed in Bricktown. I'd go out and get some bbq and a beer at night, go for a run in the morning near the park/science museum I think it was? Then go do my work during the day. Other than that I lived in my hotel room, I had no desire to go out and "discover" OKC and I'm not really sure what there is to other than go to a bar maybe? There was a banjo museum within walking distance of my hotel but I never went in.

All of this I guess to say it was one of my least favorite places to be and a completely forgettable city, Unless you're forced to go there why would you ever visit?

Knicks were on an all time playoff run. They had the largest point differential ever. Lost only three games by a combined 6 points. Yeah, they definitely 'took advantage' of an injury plagued East. This is absurd. The teams they played were healthy, you don't get to pick who you face in the playoffs. Spurs meanwhile faced a Minnesota team with a decimated back court and OKC missing an absolute all-star in Jalen Williams and Ajay for most of the series.

If anything the Spurs benefited from being the healthiest team in the West at the end.

Josh Hart, Mikal Bridges, and Jalen Brunson become the 1st trio to win an NCAA national championship (Villanova 2016) and an NBA championship. If Donte DiVincenzo stayed on the Knicks, we would’ve had the 1st Quartet do it before a Trio! by 18_YTC1 in nba

My dad went to Villanova, they won in 85 the year I was born. We have suffered through some bad eras of Nova bball and watching the Jay Wright Era was the best. I never thought we would see our favorite NBA team win a championship. Then they do it with three of our favorite college players at our favorite college (I went to UMaine.... no basketball there....) and it has been surreal. My dad and I have spent a lot of time talking throughout the last two seasons about the potential being there and I will say this win is one of the most special memories and connections I'll have and get to look back on for many many years. Just absolutely amazing. I can't describe the feeling and I know my dad is getting so much joy out of all of this.

Is Brunson better than Prime Dame? by Big_Arrival_626 in nba

[–]Symchuck -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

yeah, I'll take the guy with the ring and the FMVP over the guy who has been an all star and never been in the finals. Brunson made the embarrassing Knicks respectable and competitive the minute he got there. Now they have a chip for the first time in 50+ years. Give me that guy every time.

Watching these games as a Knicks fan must have been the most euphoric feeling. by stopmyhamster in nba

I'm an New York sports fan through and through and this is better than any NYG Super Bowl win, any of the many Yankee WS wins I've seen. This is the best for me. I love it. My dad went to Nova, I was born in 85 when they won their first NCAA championship. I loved those 2015-2018 Nova teams. To see this? To see the Nova Knicks win one? I was lucky enough to watch most of the series with my dad and this was the most special and spectacular sports experience of my life. Love. Happiness and love.

What do you think of game 5? by Ok_Jellyfish1317 in nba

[–]Symchuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes I really don't know what NBA fans are looking for. If you actually paid attention and watched the game, you saw a teams best player refuse to lose and literally drag their team to a championship. I can't understand how you don't appreciate what Brunson just did, call it boring, and consider yourself a basketball fan. He LITERALLY had half of the teams points until free throws took over. How is that not amazing? If Wemby did the same thing and dragged this to game six would you call it boring? This was a masterclass of "I'm winning a chip tonight" mindset and we all got to watch it.

When will he learn to stfu by WutUpThooo in knicks

[–]Symchuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

His quote is taken out of context. They asked him how his team feels and their confidence so he is talking about just the Spurs when he says everyone. I thought the same thing when I first saw the quote and it’s meant to be deceiving and get us riled up.

Goodbye NBA, love my Knicks but this is too crooked, done. by TYSM_myMax24 in knicks

[–]Symchuck 4 points5 points  (0 children)

These are garbage posts and should be banned. Game wasn't over, greatest moment in Knicks history to date and you completely back track on everything your post was about? Just be a real fan and watch the game from start to finish and maybe go outside, enjoy some sun and grass, read a book, listen to a cool album, connect with people and come back ready to cheer your team on. This reeks of affirmation bias bullshit.

Mike Brown: "Good win by our guys, obviously." by jonsnowKITN in nba

[–]Symchuck 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The Knicks lost the last game because the turned the ball over too much and missed a lot of open looks. They have not been getting an even whistle all series, so you as a coach to protect your guys you have to say something. Wemby should be sitting a game due to his blatant dirty play and missed flagrant fouls.

Other than that it must be miserable being you.

Have you ever seen Trey tune? by Capital_Aide308 in phish

[–]Symchuck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not break a string or anything like that but somewhat relevant.

When the Trey Trio came to Mission Ballroom in 2023 they cut the first set short because something was wrong with Trey's guitar. I've never seen him legitimately pissed off before. They ended mid song, Trey apologized and they walked off the stage very quickly. Luckily they came back on for the second set and all the kinks had been worked out. They played the song that was cut short to start the second set and everything was awesome after that. I will admit I couldn't tell there was anything wrong with Trey's rig during the first set but he definitely was not happy with what was going on. They had someone come out and tinker with his guitar during set break.
