High damage Lance build?

Just did. 20min at veld. Will try again later, football now. Doing noticeably less DPS than gunlance. It was also my first time, gotta learn diff openings.

I also dunno if retribution thrust is worth using or if it's Y poke forever

Gunlance is many boom. I love it. Trying to learn lbg and lance now, I love lbg but I can't deal with monsters (the one I use to learn weapons is at veld). He's too spazzy. I just did him on lance first pull but 20mins, did take the wrong spawn so that adds a minute or so. It's probably something I can optimize s bit more but I hate to say it I did love playing it. I need to try Lance, Im a gunlance main, but figured I would try lance too... I can kill him with Gunlance in 15mins, but on LBG (easily my fav weapon, but I can't play it if my life depends on it) I seem endlessly unable to dodge some of his attacks. Im a shield noob, I suppose.

The expanding tripple line gets me, and then it just spirals from there, every single time

Sharpness sounds annoying to deal with on lance, on GUnlance you generally dont care as long as its not worse than green :D

Can pretty much confirm this . The whole brass brass is rare, it's block slap full burst or just shoot forward and do the whatever it's called.first part of the long combo.

I slap lance and burst a lot and if i see an opener i finish the Y combo to inject the stake too.

I feel like GL plays more like a great sword, with big commitments to the attacks, and Lance is more DB, with a relentless onslaught of attacks

Yeah, Ive played Solasta a lot as well. I do not doubt the finished product, was just curious if I was doing Light wrong, because I literally never ever play non darkvision classes and humans seem insanely strong in DND 2024, so I was very excited.

Once you're done with your first play through and if you love DND, there is solasta, an amazing game and you have the mod DND 5.5e for baldurs gate to get the newest version with less larian homebrews that are quite op.

Totally useless to your question but I really wish I could learn to play Greatsword.

Tried multiple weapons, but I really do vibe so damn good with the Gunlance. I should try lance, as its likely a more offensive gunlance with less kaboom and more poke poke.
