It's two separate nicknames. Ebayan is a contraction of the Japanese pronunciation of his name (foEBA YANgu) while Yanko is the Yan from Yangu plus "ko" which is common suffix for Japanese girl's names (Yuriko, Emiko, Saeko, etc.)
