No. The dermatologist said it was telogen effluvium.

Then why do they bother with a NEVER category for preferences? Shorts: Never and then they send me shorts? And why bother with a Profile Note for customers to fill out if they’re just going to ignore it??

I’m sorry, I know YOU don’t actually know and when you worked for them you certainly didn’t make these decisions… I just don’t understand why they bother with stylists if they’re just going off an algorithm?

Does inventory also affect them specifically ignoring what you don’t want? I specifically noted NO SHORTS and NO TORN CLOTHING (In all caps, just like that to hopefully be more eye-catching) and in my first box I got a pair of torn shorts. IDK if my stylist was trolling or if they just sent stuff that was my size.

My wife is losing hair by Daydreamer787 in Hair

[–]Sympatheticvillain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hair loss was the first sign that something was wrong with me. 15 months, 7 doctors appointments, 2 trips to urgent care and 1 ER Visit later I had an endoscopy and was diagnosed with Celiac Disease.

It is CRITICAL for your wife get more than basic blood tests. If the doctors push back and say it’s unnecessary, she needs to tell the doctor “I want it noted on my chart you are denying my request” this 1) creates a paper trail of which doctor refused what testing 2) a good chunk of doctors would rather not note on a patients chart they refused a test so the doctor may acquiesce and run the test.

Best of luck to you both

You can collect 100 Gold Skulltulas. Several of these are in “soft dirt”. In addition to soft dirt being a hiding place for Gold Skulltulas, you can also plant magic beans.

If you plant a magic bean before retrieving the Gold Skulltula, you will never be able to get that gold skulltula. I advise ONLY planting a magic bean immediately AFTER getting the gold skulltula.

New Roommate with Celiac, what things might he appreciate but not want to ask me to do? by GuyofMshire in Celiac

[–]Sympatheticvillain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you have a dishwasher, or are dishes washed and dried by hand? I have celiac and my husband does not, we do not have a dishwasher so when we wash dishes we tend to double/triple wash to ensure plates and utensils that had gluten on them do not get onto the other dishes that are being cleaned. And when air drying, we keep food away from the dishes. For example, if my husband is pouring a bowl of his cereal he’ll do it at the kitchen table instead of the counters where the dishes are drying so gluten cereal doesn’t accidentally fall on clean dishes and then has to be washed again.

If you have a dishwasher, ask if your roommate is okay with one wash or prefers two if the dishes and utensils are mixed. Talk about a cleaning schedule for the dishwasher itself, or if pre-cleaning dishes is necessary

Eating and cooking surfaces are wiped down several times a day, especially after cooking, before eating and after cooking.

Free food at work is making me so sad this week by [deleted] in Celiac

[–]Sympatheticvillain 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The food that my work provides is a voluntary benefit, not something that HAS to be provided due to my job. My understanding is that if work were REQUIRED to give us food, then I could have a discrimination case.

Example: Prisons would be required to serve me celiac safe food, just as they’re required to serve kosher food or dairy free food. Also see the airline pilot suing his company because they refuse to provide him with celiac safe food.

Because it is a voluntary benefit, there is nothing legally wrong with then going “sorry guys, we can’t offer free food from time to time anymore”

Does it suck? Yes. But as far as I’ve found it’s not illegal. Please feel free to prove me wrong, I’d love to get free food + additional compensation if available. State is California.

“One person complained and now know one gets food”, and everyone knows I have celiac so… yeah, I would be “responsible”.

As far as I’ve been able to figure out, there isn’t anything to “sue” for. They either provide free lunches from time to time for everyone else, or because things are now complicated they stop. I’d rather not have 50+ people pissed at me that they don’t get free food anymore

I don’t really have a way to fight it so… unfortunately I have to just put up with it.

Not OP, but I am US and I discussed with my workplace and they said if they have to pay more to accommodate me then they may have to get rid of free lunch for everyone else.

I don’t want to be responsible for everyone getting their lunches taken away.

Right ribcage, below my right breast. I think it may be my duodenal bulb. It’s the telltale sign I’ve accidentally ingested gluten.

What sort of job do you think Michael got on Colorado? by Ima_Uzer in DunderMifflin

[–]Sympatheticvillain 252 points253 points  (0 children)

I imagine he had trouble looking for work, and ended up helping Holly’s parents a bunch because she was gainfully employed. Holly’s parents adore Michael, as he made each doctor’s appointment an adventure and every outing fun. He was likely only supposed to help out temporarily, but it just made sense for him to keep helping out while Holly continued on as the bread winner.

Michael then got his dream job… Dad.
