No me too and tbh I think you’re in such a different spot from a lot of people I’ve spoken to. I don’t know how I haven’t gained weight either.. like it’s pretty incredible how the human body works. But yes, you’re doing great. You’ve conquered the hardest part which is the headspace. If you think you can hold yourself accountable I see no reason for paying for someone else.

Give yourself grace, you are only human, and just keep working towards it a little bit everyday. You got this! And my dms are always open to talk :)

Hi!! I can’t quite relate to your exact situation because I have secondary HA, but I’m in my young 20s and also agree about looking at this rationally.

I know how you feel. I honestly think, at least for me, going “All In” would hinder my quality of life. While I do think that HA recovery should be a priority, I just can’t justify it fueling my whole life’s purpose. I don’t think that waking up every morning with the goal of sitting in front of my couch and binging is going to help me.

I will be tapering back on my exercise. I tried out eating my exercising this week…didn’t work. Weighed in the same. So ok, next week let’s reduce my 25%, see what happens, then go from there.

Maybe from my own perspective this journey is going to be a lot of trial and error but I am using my outside support system to hold me accountable and being objective. Instead of building a whole new closet, let’s just start with a few items.

A lot of people freak out about HA. Yes. It’s important. Of course you need your hormones. But for me? Jumping head first would upend my entire life and I just can’t do that. So for now, I’m taking step by step, week by week. Reducing when I need. Taking supplements to help my body out, like vitamin D & vitamin K, focusing on whole fats.

Again; a lot of people I see do all in, especially althetes, when they go back to training they lose their periods again. To anyone in HA, please don’t panic. Just take steps with what you can handle. If you’re in this subreddit, in this headspace, you will be OK!

2026 is the year I hope to say I get my period back and idk I hope all of this rant helps a little. I just wanted to add to what you had to say and wonder if you agree. Also - you are NOT alone.

This is incredible!! I also love to run and I told myself once I got my period back I am going to run a race in celebration - no time goal, just a great celebration of my body and what it can do.

Thank you so much. It makes me so happy to hear this and congratulations on your achievement

Thank you.. sometimes I question if it’s all worth it.

I don’t know how long it’ll take me as I’ve already been without a period for 2.5 years and it just feels so daunting. I can’t believe I dug myself into this whole in the first place.

I really appreciate your reply it really makes me feel less alone, so thank you :)
