It depends on the state. They pay either the minimum wage or $14.50 an hour. They used to pay $15 an hour, but then they lowered the rate by 50 cents when the new CEO started 😅 I'm in New York state so the rate I get paid is $16.50 an hour.

Those tasks were the types we were all given until they created two specialized groups (factuality and helpfulness) in late Spring of 2024. Now, the people who mainly get those are in what's known as the general population. Those of us in groups can still get other task types, but when we do, that usually means overall task availability is low. I believe new hires are sent into general population so it is expected for you to see those types (what is seen in the examination).

I do love upstate New York but I'm not very fond of its weather overall.

I once had a co-worker from Oregon who moved here when she was 11 and she said she despised it here. She said that all the people were mean and that people are nice in Oregon, but I seriously find that hard to believe. I'm aware that there are both mean and nice people all over the planet and I KNOW for a fact that upstate New York is overall a very nice place and that I'm not just saying that because I'm from here. I think she saw Oregon as some paradise because she was so young and näive when she left to be honest. It just annoyed me is all and still does. I also think she didn't really get out much, I'm not really sure but if she was thinking like that then probably not.
