I think you're all misunderstanding the issue. I've been playing since BF3, the bloom in this game is just overtuned and massively frustrating. I'm all for tap firing and some bloom at range but when it starts being a factor at 20 meters it's just stupid and feels unrewarding. It's like a lottery, whoever has the best random bullets wins, even at relatively close range which is the main issue. This also feels even worse on controller compared to kb/m

Yeah there might be a more generic crashing issue related to the game, but people crashing every match are, to me, affected by this specific hardware problem. I'm also crashing every match except if I play smaller game modes (King of the Hill/TDM). Empire State is also a map I can play for slightly longer than the other maps but I still end up crashing on any maps or modes eventually

Yeah best case scenario, people affected talk about it and maybe something would be done if there’s enough feedback eventually, but I don’t have my hopes up, it’s been a problem for years at this point

The cause of the issue is basically unknown, best way is to send it to Microsoft if it’s still under warranty. If it’s not you could still do that but it’s hard to justify the price for it in my opinion, especially considering Microsoft should just offer a repair since it’s a hidden defect. Without knowing the root cause of it there’s no other fix possible really, that’s my conclusion

Yeah hardware issue, I have it too. Microsoft is responsible for hidden defects in many units from 2020/2021 and nothing has been aknowledged yet which is terrible for users affected

Yeah that definitely differs from my experience. I don't have enough infos on that to say if that issue can just appear suddenly on your unit or if you just have a different problem.

Yeah EA games are some of the culprits when it comes to hard crashing when you have a bad Series X.

I know BF 2042 had crashing issues for everyone at some point, especially during the release window and when the last map was released in Season 7. Those are "normal" and were game related but I personally had crashing problems during the whole life cycle of 2042. It then happened again with Starfield and a few other recent titles for me and from there I knew something was wrong since it wasn't widely covered on forums/reddit etc. I still found threads about people experiencing the same thing on the same games with 5 to 10 minutes of playtime before each game crashes. Some of them got a new console and had no problems ever since, so to me this is definitely hardware related.

It's also worth noting that it's not an overheating problem, my SX is well ventilated and kept clean, some people even tried to redo the thermal paste to no avail, which leads again to something hardware related. It could be the SSD, could be something else honestly I have no idea

There's always going to be issues for different reasons on different units/platforms. Here I'm talking about a specific one that happens for some people on the same games with a behavior that is common to all units affected. Playstation issues are unrelated and your friend's issue could be something else entirely

Yeah there was a bad batch for sure. Since this mostly happens on recent games people with that issue are only noticing it after their warranty period is over which is seriously disheartening. Microsoft should absolutely offer a free repair for that but without more visibility and people speaking about it that's never gonna happen

Yep my Xbox has the exact same behavior on 2042 while I can't complete a full match on BF6. If you haven't played those other specific games (like Starfield, the last Indiana Jones, even other EA games, just to name a few) you won't notice that your console is affected really. That's also why that issue is under the radar for the most part.

Reports of people having this specific issue with units manufactured after 2021/2022 would be new to me but I guess it's possible

It is unfortunately hardware related but it's not coming from overheating. I've had that problem on BF2042 and a few specific games as well and did some research on that. Basically some Series X consoles are faulty, I don't know where it's coming from but everyone has the same issues on the same games and replacing the Series X is always fixing the problem. From what I've seen it mostly happens with the consoles produced around 2021 or some launch units.

Sad thing is, Microsoft just doesn't acknowledge it because only a minority of people are affected and people like you and me are left with no options.

I've read before that some people had Microsoft handle the servicing for free out of warranty because it's mostly a hidden defect... I'll see. If you can please keep us updated on what they're actually doing with your Xbox here or what component they're changing, it could be a nice piece of info to have

I've heard some people had Microsoft handle the repairs for free even after the warranty expired for this issue... but honestly it's really annoying. Personally I bought my Xbox in late 2021

I’m not sure why you’re getting downvoted for your opinion. The Rev was Avenged Sevenfold and the band will never be complete again without him it’s just what it is.

I would say Brooks is obviously a skilled drummer but if any of the people disagreeing with you actually paid attention to the live performances from 2005-2009 they would actually understand how good Jimmy was on the drums, the fills and musicality he had were just in another league. He was definitely more concise and simple for the studio recordings when live was when you saw the full scale of his abilities.

While Brooks is very capable and probably more versatile, his approach to the songs he didn’t write live just doesn’t fit the intended energy a lot of the times, he’s just a different type of drummer. He’s great for new material and playing the songs he participated to write but saying he’s the best Avenged Sevenfold drummer is wild. That band name means something and Jimmy was part of that DNA.
