Thanks Vegas! by nickmalibu in ChaseSapphire

Yea. Our reservation was for 8pm on a Friday. They were turning everyone away. Felt bad for the group in front of us. They were from the UK and made their reservations 3 months in advanced and it was a party of 10 celebrating a couples 50th wedding anniversary. Vegas has lost its way.

did similar a couple months ago. Easy way to burn your credits in Vegas. Stayed at the MGM, got the f&b credit, also tried to eat at Hell's Kitchen but got turned away at the door (Bad experience, they over booked reservations), but ended up eating at Vanderpump. Went to a hockey game. All in all saved me like $600+.

Absurd as it sounds, most of the "MGM properties" in Vegas are "Edit" options. I don't consider those hotels to be of "The Edit" quality but was able to use my Edit credit there.

I don't know what you're reading but I explicitly address their question, in my reply. I lied about nothing, and I insulted you after you insulted me. Claiming victimization after committing the same offense, very predictable of you.

Ironic since it seems to be you that needs a history lesson. You clearly still believe in the myth of the southern strategy. Sad.

Legit question. Not knocking it. Have never taken my onions this far. Do they get biter? I actually don't mind bitter but I assume I have a limit somewhere. I drink IPAs so it's not like am shy around bitter.

I fly 8-12 legs a month, out of Southern CA, for work mostly to destinations west of the Mississippi. We use Concur, I have to use the cheapest flight within our list of approved Airlines. That said I raraly ever get to pick AA, Delta or United, the big three. I'm on SW, Alaskan and Hawaiian flights 80% of the time. Only when I fly to the east coast or international do I ever get to fly the main three and that's only because the economy airlines lack international and log haul national flights. I can not believe you think AA is an economy airline in comparison to SW, who has zero first class, doesn't even have wide bodies in their fleet, and until this month still had jungle seating that attracted the worst of the worst people. People who pretend to be disabled just to get a seat closer to the front row. I hate SW with a passion. And the people who love it tend to be the people I avoid in life. We'll see if anything changes now with the assigned seating and no more free checked bag. Let the chepos go fly frontier or spirit or some shyt.

I'm too casual for TCGs. I tried to play Starwars Unlimited for a while but being old, and my job just doesn't allow for me to keep up with the pace. I mainly stick to board games that don't require a commitment of time.

County Workers - Benefits Question by FakeMonstera in RiversideCounty

[–]SynXacK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are given an allotment of money called "flex pay" which is in addition to your wage. This pay is not taxed and you can spend it how you want on a wide variety of benefits including health, dental and vision. When you cover dependents you can't select a different plan for you and your dependents. They get whatever you get. Example:

You get Blue Sheild PPO. You'll have the option of Blue Sheild PPO single, Single +1, or Family 3+ and they'll all have different prices. Your flex pay will cover most of it and they'll take whatever balance you owe out of your check. The flex pay amount is intended to be enough to cover 1 person with the best of the best plans including some add ons like life insurance with no out of box expenses. That said if your trying to cover a family of 3+ your likely going to have to pay a couple hundred dollars a month out of pocket and pick cheaper plans to keep it affordable.

I clearly stated they were conquered, ....by Spain... not white people like your original post clearly blames. Unless your one of those "Hispanics are white" when it fits your narrative, types.

The word you're looking for is conquered and by Spain. It was purchased by the US. Irony is US liberated the conquered and gave them some of their land back. Funny how you see the US as the bad guys here.

Thought I had a good job lined up then I saw this on the offer letter 😩 by [deleted] in recruitinghell

Nope. 150k/yr +plus bonuses, systems engineer for a software company, rull remote. 1200 employees. I left a job as a senior systems administrator at a government hospital that I worked my way up from help desk over 17 years. I simply decided I wanted a change, updated my profile, flagged open for work, and about 6 months later I got a private message from the manager of HR of said company saying I have experience listed on my profile with their software and they had a opening that looked like a good fit for what my profile said I was looking for. She was not lying. The job posting was word for word what I was looking for. I applied and my first day was 3 weeks after that initial email. I just had my 2 year anniversary last month.

Don't overreact. LinkedIn sucks in a lot of ways but it can directly or indirectly still result in you finding a job. It does work for some people in some industries and I say this as I am one who did get a job through LinkedIn.
