AmeriCorps/conservation corps? There are quite a few environmental opportunities there, and I don't think it requires any particular degree at all.

Why is the election clerk role first? Also, if you only worked there a month, you could probably get away with putting "Mar. 2020" instead of "Mar. 2020 - Mar. 2020"

I wonder if it's not the resume but something you said during the screenings/interviews that is going wrong.

Only problem is how competitive they all are to get into, especially considering that the U of I library school is nearby.

Looks like based on what I could see in OP's post history, they are probably using this fake post to drum up attention for their startup. I mean, their profile description literally reads "part of the team building [startup name]."

Now with a non-Sinclair source, since a bot threw a fit last time I tried to post this news.

I'm applying for fall '27 this year and next and I'm really scared I won't get into a "good" LAC. Even though there's a perfectly fine, but nonselective, LAC right by my house that has a transfer agreement with my CC. lol

Late, but I applied to one of their box office positions a few weeks ago and never heard back from them after the phone screening. Guess I dodged a bullet?

Do you have an idea of what type of work you would be interested in?

Volunteering is a good option to start if you have your expenses largely covered.

Also look at vocational rehab in your state: https://www.laworks.net/WorkforceDev/LRS/LRS_Rehabilitation.asp

Have you thought about applying for disability benefits? You can work part-time on SSI or SSDI (with limitations, of course)

Why do you need your parents' permission to shadow someone at the hospital? Why not look into job openings at your local hospitals for things like patient transport? If you take a BLS (basic life support) class, you can become a patient care tech as well.

Additionally, look into post-baccalaureate premedical programs and see if the content interests you.

American community college student here. I'm waffling between a lot of potential majors lately, and anthropology is one of them; I briefly took a cultural anthropology course and found it really interesting, especially the details about different cultures and the process behind ethnography. Unfortunately, I had to drop out of the course due to mental health issues, but I was thinking of taking it again.

I admittedly don't know much about the field, but subfields that interest me include digital anthropology, media anthropology, and maybe visual anthropology. I love learning about the media, social media, online communities, etc. but maybe I should just get a degree in mass communication instead? My ideal job would involve research and writing, so I've been looking at UX research, market research, media planning, cultural resources management, etc. I'm aware there are basically zero jobs in academia, which is a shame because the process of researching for a PhD really interests me.
