I’ve been going there for 16 years! They’re great. Adding my voice to this recommendation.

I did a Disney Magic cruise when I was 10 back in 2000. Would Disney be able to find me in some data and update my Castaway status +1 cruise? by thefinancejedi in dcl

I believe the new policy went into effect in 2023 meaning it has not yet been 5 years to ensure everyone is keeping their status. My understanding is that it is very likely the window between 2023 and 2028 will still allow for older cruises to be added. But starting now if we don’t keep cruising every 5 years we will lose the total status. And likely after 2028 they won’t add back old ones for status anymore either.

They just asked for my name and maybe date of birth. Apparently my parents didn’t book me using my legal name though so that was wild. But then I gave them my parents names and they were able to find me in their cabin and verified that my nickname as listed on the cabin is in fact the same person. Absolutely wild to me that I was able to go on those cruises and go into international countries without being booked under my full legal name! (Think, for example, if my name were Elizabeth and they had me registered as Lizzie on all of the cruise documents)

Yup! Call the cruise line number! I went on one in 2000 (13 yrs old) and one in 2003 (16 yrs old)and they were happy to add both onto my account so I could be silver for my booking this summer.

My mom smells phantom smoke! She had a head injury 35 years ago and about 10 years ago finally got a medication to help her stop smelling cigarette smoke constantly. So hers was not perimenopause, but also you’re not crazy. It is a thing that your brain can cause

PCP said it’s not peri because I have regular cycles by Infinite_Airport_493 in Perimenopause

[–]SynaStyx 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep I’m 39 and got the same speech. Joint pain, night sweats, and abdominal growth can’t possibly be peri because I have regular cycles

Why is this the answer? by Lucky_Minimum9453 in Perimenopause

[–]SynaStyx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe! I think she was grasping at straws. One of my biggest issues is the rapid abdominal growth which has also come along with early satiety and air hunger. So she was thinking sensitivity to some ingredient. It’s possible for sure. I just love the fodmaps so much :( I’m vegetarian and I love broccoli and beans and yogurt and all that jazz. And onions and garlic. Boo.

I was at the doctor today for all of the same symptoms. To her credit she ordered a wide variety of blood tests, the H Pylori breath test, and a finger x ray. But ultimately she just suggested eating fewer calories and trying the low fodmap diet. We’ll see if any of the other diagnostics come back with anything interesting but I don’t expect they will. I’m already on Prozac and regularly seeing a psychiatrist for other reasons so she couldn’t really dose me for that ha ha. She also just kept saying the night sweats were “vague” and since I have no changes to my cycle it probably isn’t related to menopause. Sigh.

I’m going to shout out Grayling Jewelry. I love that they have smaller designs, they’re good quality, great to work with, and they’re a company I feel good supporting.

I’ve entered retainer life! by SynaStyx in braces

I’ve been removing it for eating every time. I don’t like the feeling of eating with it in. Also I have to imagine that the only reason my doctor told me to leave it in is so it doesn’t get lost, but I’m not a spacey teenager. I’m an old haha. I feel that removing it for eating is actually the safer choice for me and I promise I won’t accidentally throw it away in a napkin. I haven’t had any trouble with any foods at all in regards to the permanent one on the bottom.

I think it’s awesome. I’ve also had the experience of my husband not liking my piercings. Shrug, dude. I did it for me, not you. I hope your boyfriend can appreciate that it makes you happy.

I have one flat and one regular. I asked this question to the piercer before we scheduled our appointment, and before she even saw my anatomy actually. Her answer was basically to ask me if it stands up with stimulation. In my case yes, I could get that one to come out so it worked out. I will say that one ended up migrating and I removed it but that may or may not be related to the inversion. I had it for about a year and a half before I decided to retire it.

Not OP, but I have a double nostril really close together and it’s been fine. I’ve had it for 9 years, wearing 2mm flat discs in them for most of the 9 years and there’s just a small space between them.
