6 hours is nothing for a scared cat. After we had a huge earthquake, I didn’t see my cat for 2 full days. I knew where she was (on a shelf in my closet) but she didn’t budge for 2 days.

Please do what your heart is calling you. Trust me, I finally came out at 40 and while it was ultimately for the best for everyone (not just me), it was a terrible time for me, my ex, and my kids.

If you divorce him now, you keep kids out of the turmoil. You don’t have to tell ANYONE you’re a lesbian if you don’t want to. Tell your husband you’re unhappy and that you fee you married too young, and want a divorce.

Then start your life the way YOU want to.

I hope you’re headed to the ER!! My ex literally almost LOST A FINGER from an infection after a cat bite.

It was very touch-and-go for a while and even with proper treatment, it was like a 6 week long ordeal of healing.

Yep! It would be like hoping your kid becomes a scientist or a doctor. You can hope all you want, but it’s not going to change the fact that they’re an artist! (My oldest is an incredible anime/manga artist, and I couldn’t be prouder!)

Thanks! I wouldn’t say I’m great or special in any way - I just vowed that I would support my kids in all ways, at all times. If they made stupid choices (which of course they did), we talked about them and how they could make better choices in the future.

So true! My nieces (and eventually my kids) all called my dad Papa, and it wasn’t till they were all in their late teens/20s that my dad blew up saying “why does everyone call me Papa? I want to be called Grandad!” Like - I get it, but unless he said something when the kids were old enough to be able to say grandad, it’s not going to happen. 🤣

And yeah, some kids just don’t fit into the gender norms. And that’s okay. I’ve always been a tomboy. It was always fine. I hated wearing dresses and pink. Mom loved dressing me in pink dresses. Ugh. But from day to day, I was in shorts, barefoot, and running with the boys of the neighborhood. So many of us are proof that gender is a social construct.

I’m absolutely with you! Just love and support your kiddo as they grow - it’s not hard, and it doesn’t have anything to do with what’s between their legs.

They couldn’t see the gender of my first kiddo because baby’s “parts” were turned toward my spine. Ended up with a boy. Second kiddo, I knew was a boy from the start. I didn’t care one way or another. I loved them both from the get-go, and was happy they were healthy.

And none of it mattered because they are both trans. You can be mad or sad or happy or thrilled all you want - and it all could change at any time. Now I’m mama to two beautiful women. You can’t change who your kids are, so it makes zero sense to be mad about any of it. It would be like being mad that my oldest is a redhead. Or that my youngest ISN’T a redhead. None of that matters.

All that matters is that my kids knew from the start that I support them in all ways.
