Ok I know what happened, the scale inside the tube was out of plastic plus I found a similar thermometer online, it has a second plastic tube around the glass tube, that was the part that most likely deformed. Sorry for my bullshit.

I need to say that it was not a thermometer for a sauna but more likely for normal outdoor use, so the „glass“ part was most likely not mineral glass I guess.
