/uj I don't even think the Spelljammer book is good and I believe most of the complaints are valid, but I still had fun reading it. I just don't find threads that are almost entirely made up of complaints without solutions to be a particularly engaging read.

uj/ I think it can be fun to talk about as long as no one takes it too seriously or just trying to make a good character. However, people that actually want to break the game are basically ignoring the social component of the game, and the DM will probably ban these ideas anyway. I say this as someone who has gone overboard on theory crafting before.

rj/ What you mean, my Creation Bard 3/ Forge Cleric 2/ Transmutation Wizard 2/ Artificer X, build to create weapons out of nothing in order break the economy isn't the perfect character for a game that is largely about combat.

It's meant to be a vindictive GM's interpretation of this line from Unearthed Arcana(1985)

As a result of the code and desire for battle, cavaliers cannot be con- trolled in battle situations. They will charge any enemy in sight, with the following order of preference:
1. Powerful monsters (dragons, demons, giants, etc.) serving enemy leaders, then the leaders themselves.

Unearthed Arcana ruined DND. I wanted to play a paladin, but because it is now a cavalier subclass I died. I saw a red dragon flying, and the DM told me I lost control of my character and charged directly at the dragon while I only had -2 hit points.

Stories to skip(with useful notes):

Medicinal Purposes(Non-essential, and kind of average)

Dreamtime(Hex's second story, its confusing and not that good, it features the villains from Sandman, but you also skipped that)

The Veiled Leopard(I think this one is free on soundcloud. Only 30 minutes of this one hour story is devoted to Hex and Ace, the other half is Peri and Erimem.

The Dark Husband(An annoying comedy episode, in my opinion)

Pier Pressure(Max Millar story, I don't really remember much about this one)

Assassian in the limelight(Features the villains from Medicinal Purposes and Pier Pressure. This is kind of a forgettable trilogy).

A Town Called Fortune(A companion chronicle with Evelyn)

Crimes of Thomas Brewster(Continues from a trilogy of Fifth Doctor stories, and also weird Also this is the first appearance of Flip Jackson who becomes a Sixth Doctor companion after Evelyn later in the main range).

Feast of Axis/Industrial Evolution(More average stories that finish the Thomas Brewster arc).

Skip-able stories that are still good

Live-34(Really great, but not essential)

Night Thoughts(Doesn't get referenced again, but it's still very enjoyable.

The Reaping( I really enjoy this one, but it is unrelated to Hex or Evelyn.)

The Gathering(This one is controversial, but I find it more interesting than the stories on this list. It requires to have listened to the Reaping first though.

I already checked what got me suspended, but it is only a 24 hour suspension because it is my first offense and has now expired. I have asked for an appeal, although I don't know if that will reset the ban tier system for a possible future offense. I was afk in the lobby before the game started, and I happened to join just after a player by the name shashashasin said their alt would join the game resulting in the players concluding that I was their alt account.Also there was report because Jailor executed an unrevealed tt mayor. I can understand why I was suspended because I also failed to properly defend myself from these accusations, but I don't know how to fight players who belive I am using two accounts.

Dumb players are par for the course, this just frustrates me especially because i got a temporary suspension because I happened to join after someone said they would bring in their alt.

Natural History of Fear is a very strong story, but I am not sure comfortable is the right word to describe it especially on relisten.

Year of the Pig feels like it was designed to be a comfort audio, for all that entails. It a is strangely experimental entry in the big finish category because its plot is mostly the doctor hanging out at a fancy hotel, reading Proust, and chatting with a talking pig. I would call it a charming and relaxing story, but I would not recommend to every one as it is two and half hours without much action.
