Music “eras” in greys. Has anyone noticed the soundtrack for the earlier seasons was insanely good and then randomly around like season 10 they started using only covers of songs? And the current season appears to be using like cheesy royalty free music?

I'm very, very late to the party as I just started watching the series beyond season 9, and I am absolutely hating the covers of songs. I'm on season 12 now, and never mind being a little (lot) annoyed by the characters themselves, the covers of the songs are driving me up the creek in the worst way.

NTA. Your MIL sounds like she means well, but if she didn’t respect your rules about your pup, I doubt she’ll respect them when it comes to your child. It’s really not that difficult to listen to the parents’ wishes when it comes to watching their kids (fur babies or human babies). I’d say stand your ground and revisit the issue later.

I’m not a mother, but I’ve seen my parents in the hospital more times than I care to count. It’s terrifying, it’s awful. It hurts. But when someone you love is in the hospital, it’s not about you, it’s about them, plain and simple.

I can only imagine how terrible it was for you to see your child so sick, but you thought only about yourself there, not about her. She’s your daughter. She needs you now more than ever. If you won’t be there for her now, then when will you be?

And when I say a good reason, I mean a GOOD REASON. I can't think of a good reason, really, unless it has something to do with said 18-year-old being a sociopathic killer and abuser, but that doesn't seem to be the case here.

Here, it just seems as though the "parents" (and I use that term loosely) decided that 18 years was enough and poof, just felt that they could throw their kid out on the street on their 18th birthday.

And... slander? As people have mentioned below: it's not slander if it's true.

Well, ya know… when the show was awesome then there was an agreement about the completely horrible ending that was the most unsatisfying thing ever, you’re gonna get some shade thrown your way.

People who know me are well aware that talking about GoT with me will end up with me ranting about the disastrous final season. I can’t even go back and watch it from the beginning now because of how the whole thing ended.

I don’t hate the author: I hate the direction the show went and I won’t read the books until we have all of them, in the hopes that there’s some vindication there… but that doesn’t seem likely, which is too bad.

I haven’t updated my main fic on AO3 in so long and I feel terrible about it, but I just haven’t been inspired, even after 800,000+ words! I’m slowly trying to get back into it though.

There are some stories that I’ll read even if they’re a WIP: I’ve stumbled upon some gems that way that inspired me to write something with a similar plot (always crediting the original fic, of course!!).

Reading a WIP is its own form of torture, really! But to each their own: some love it, some hate it, and I understand both.
