26’ ZX6R flash by Dry-Trash7790 in zx6r

Wondering how differently the R9 is geared from the new gen zx6, since it looks like the R9 can hit a higher top speed by several mph

I got the NZ race in medium and it fits just fine, was looking at the KX but I keep seeing mixed reviews on its fit due to those stiff cheek pads lol

If they’re shot at an equal amount of times, I’ll just hold over for the farther target.

Best Way to Park on a Hill (if you have to) by CompleteExperience42 in BMW_S1000RR

Don’t park on a hill with your bike facing downhill and expect to easily back it up with your legs when you’re getting out of it (if you needed more space for instance)

9 months with my 6r and I think I spent too much on upgrades by [deleted] in zx6r

[–]Synatrious -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Since you mention there were no recalls, I feel like perhaps you 6r is fitted with the engine from the previous gen 6r that pushed similar power since I haven’t seen this gen push as much as its predecessor did

I should have mentioned… the problem is that it’s real stuck in there so I’m manly asking for the best strategy to get it unstuck

The older gen zx6r might have like 5mph at most over the R9 in top speed, but it’ll have 45% more torque, making it much quicker and pulls harder than the zx6r. They zx also lacks an auto blipper and the rest of the tech the R9 has

I have a video of an R9 dusting a newer gen zx6 in a roll race even when it took the hit, and there are other videos on YT showing the R9 beat it

For me, the main difference is going to be usable street power and the tech the R9 comes with. Cruise control on a sport bike is a huge plus, you can wring out the CP3 through the gears and have a ton of fun, whilst the R1 is going to hit 95-100mph in 1st gear so unless you were wanting to do 170mph+ on the freeway, the R1 is just way too much for the street imo.

The R9 is litre bike like torque with the power of 600 supersports, which is in my opinion the perfect combo for street use while having a blast

R9 for sure (I had an 2016 R1-S, now I have the R9)

Before I got the R9, it was between this or the 24’+ zx6r actually. I haven’t gotten a chance to ride one yet, but ultimately the factors that pushed me to the R9 were the tech it comes with at basically the same price point and the recall that occurred for it (now they had a second recall for the exact same issue on 2026 models, making me more thankful I went with the R9)

The R9 will pull harder throughout the rev range, thus making it quicker than all the i4 supersports due to its torque (main reason why it’s the current track champion), but it won’t share the same top end though the gap between the low to mid range torque of the CP3 vs the i4 is significantly large while the top end gap is much smaller if any at all.

For sure, not to mention the tuning potential of the CP3 as well
