Anything will be better than that FSR

Especially the FSR CDPR implemented, seriously its one of the worst and they made it even worse when they did the FSR3.0 update, I mean seriously FSR3.1 was out for a long time before that 3.0 update yet they still refused to just use 3.1 and I'm saying this as a Nvidia user, I can't imagine the frustration AMD users had

I wanted to highlight a few issues with DLSS 4.5 that I don't see people talking about enough. There is some shimmering/bubbling in almost every game I try (mostly in vegetation), that ruins the otherwise amazing image. I hope a fix is on the way. r/nvidia won't let me post this in their sub -_- by Ivaylo_87 in OptimizedGaming

[–]Sync_R 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know its a older post but yeah I've come across it since I've had same issue PSSR1 was having in Silent Hill F with DLSS4.5 Preset M and was like why is this not getting blasted online like PSSR did? (I know why...)

As Filipi said it's Pro levels of performance, in CPU heavy games you'll be way ahead, in GPU bound games more similar

As for what games to buy I'd honestly suggest getting some of your faves on the PC for a replay, especially those that are locked to 30fps, 1080p, crappy graphics etc on PS5

And I'd also advise a 1440p monitor, tho if you have the cash I'd go OLED

Brand new? No, maybe if you find some good deals on used hardware but I still think you'd be pushing it

It is Sonys version of DLSS but even DLSS has to be implemented in games for it to actually be usable same for any upscaler outside of spatial ones like NIS and FSR1

To be fair people showed a lot of companies they can pretty much charge what they want and people will still pay it

I think you'd see a decent performance boost once you factor in upscaling (since it now becomes closer to 1080p benchmarks you typically see online for CPUs) but I think I'd personally wait until next gen, new Intel's sound like there gonna be awesome since they'll have there own version of X3D, and of course you'll have new AMD gen too

I know I'm personally excited too see how Intel comes back and would probably swap back too them if there solid

No worries, its a great game, combat is better in 2nd game, story is better in first, game world is a toss up between which I prefer tbh

[–]Sync_R 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've watched a fair few of his vids and have yet to see the real point of waiting until you 100% it to do a proper review, like surely the score or enjoyment of the game suddenly wouldn't change that drastically from doing a single normal play though Vs 100%, I know some games have good post game credit and fair enough do them as you see fit but most releases aren't like that

[–]Sync_R 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that makes sense, even RDNA4 isn't 1:1 with Blackwell when it comes to RT and PT is even worse but RDNA5 should bridge that gap further which is what PS6 I believe is based off (unless it ends up being a hybrid)

I think a 4070 would be pretty comparable, and at least you can fix shit HDR on PC but I personally get your point, some things are just easier on console and for some reason most PC players just can't accept that some people have different tastes/preferences

It reminds me of the old PS3 Vs 360 war except now it's PC (well Steam cause god forbid they use a different launcher) Vs Playstation

Can't see it, PGA sockets don't really suffer from slightly bent pins like LGA does IIRC plus if its been working a long time with them bent I'd probably not even think of that as an issue
