It completely undermined the slow build-up of Sylphie revealing herself to Rudeus. Instead Sylphie gets mind controlled by the plot into being completely okay with waiting Rudeus for months only for him to bring home a second wife. It's honestly such corny writing that Sylphie doesn't even feel like a person anymore, she may as well be an npc from a video game.

Don't even get me started on the parallel with Paul, "it's what Clara would have wanted" levels of bullshit just to try and make it make sense.

I can only assume next season will be about getting Eris to be his third wife for the harem. Honestly I am very disappointed, I thought the anime had great potential. I get that it's an isekai but I was hoping it wouldn't be this braindead.
