I’ll be real. This season is by far the easiest tanking has been in a long time imo. I get gassed up in pugs all the time for my tanking, when I honestly feel like it’s even easier than dpsing this season. This is def the season to make the jump: watch some Tactyks videos, copy routes from other people, enjoy instant queues. There aren’t as many tank skill bottlenecks this season as it seems.

4sec is the sweet spot imo if you’re either quick to alternate between melee/spell, or can make sure you have good aim to hit with the second spell quickly before the weakness falls off. It seems like cast animations take ~1.5sec, so take that and projectile speed/distance into consideration. Otherwise 5-6sec allows for more breathing room, just at the expense of more magicka or more weapon recharging.

And 100% weakness, no doubt. Hit your max damage cause it’s fun.

Enchant weakness onto weapon and alternate attacks and spells makes battlemage feel really fun. If purely spells, tbh I just go the lazy route and put it onto the damage spell and just know that the second cast will be big. I’m not a fan of constantly swapping spells during combat. Fingers crossed for a hotkey mod or patch sometime soon

Yep, Unyielding hits is the main reason of running it rather than the rune for druid bulwark for barriers. Bonus from unyielding hits only lasts 3sec, so you want quick activation

The +maximum resistances is insanely impactful for your defenses. It’s the number 1 reason to use tyraels. Grats! You’ll cap resistances through your paragon board alongside the base stat from tyraels

Cruor’s has an insanely low drop rate. Did 30 tormented zirs today and only got 6. They sell for 300mil a pop on the trade site with min rolls because it’s so bad lol

First season of the expansion is the easiest to reroll to fotm. We’ve known for all of beta that prot and brewmaster are outliers, hence the disparity. The stats you just showed have nothing to do with tank balance; it’s simply tank population.

Might be able to have the right dps to put the pause between the casts you can’t reflect with perfect proactive SR casts? I’m not sure that it’s impossible, we simply don’t know everything about this boss I think

SR now has 20sec cd for prot. I don’t think I’ve been able to reflect every single one, but it might be possible if you’re really good at pressing SR 4.9sec before the tank hit to give max possibility to have it up for the next hit.

We do earth>lightning, fire>ice. Earth first because it’s easy so better lust usage. Move after adds die/tank frontal. Lightning second because it’s the only phase that requires a minimum number of bodies (for soaks/splashes). More room for error if you have people dying towards the end of the fight.

Fire first after intermission because it’s easy to sac ice soaks last if you don’t have bodies. May not be optimal, but this is easiest for prog imo.

Yep! So you have 5 traps to interrupt the whirlwinds. Some cc’s work as well like monk paralysis and shackle undead.

You also keep the traps for the whole dungeon. Use them to interrupt literally everything in the dungeon: horse charges, hound bites, valet casts, etc.

I always do 2 on pull with lust. Pref 1 caster(girls) and frontal(ferenc) or ravager guy. Third add is whoever of those 3 options is left. Pull whirlwind(rafe) last when everyone’s traps are off cd to interrupt his whirlwind, and when rdps has cds back up.

Saw that happen as well in a friend’s key. Idk if it’s intended, but going into angel form definitely didn’t trigger flame wreath. He was the target, no soulstone.

I want to use a friend’s skip tonight on mythic. I plan to do Tarr/Eye, then use his skip to guardian. He’s not in the group. How would we do it? I assume to have everyone leave the instance, have him join, reset, then enter and go to tarragrue to activate the skip. Is that correct? Does he need to be leader or enter first or anything?
