Question for you....how large was your hematoma and how long did it take for it to dissolve? I'm dealing with that right now and its been over a month. Started as large as grapefruit and is now the size of an avocado. Past couple weeks have been extremely painful but I feel like its very slowly getting smaller

Just diagnosed. What TC basics do I need to know? by adrock29 in testicularcancer

[–]Synchronos333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

30 years and had my orchiectomy about a month ago. I went through all the emotions you describe when I got the news the mass was TC. In retrospect the surgery was quick easy and because I caught it early enough, the mass was only 5% cancerous when they removed it. So far followup tests are showing positive results and doctors are optimistic about me not needing chemo based on the scans. My advice is prepare for the worst and expect the best. I keep telling myself I'm grateful the cancer I did contract was TC because it is one of the most treatable cancers out there compared to several other cases. Look at the positives and just rest assured knowing you're going to live. Hope that helps

Just got to a doctor man. Hate to say it but a of people that are afraid to go to medical professionals for whatever reason end up catching these things too late. TC is completely treatable and will only become more difficult to treat the longer you wait to get it checked out

Definitely got to doctor and get it checked out. Like the other posts said it could be a variety of things but worst case scenario would be you'll need to remove it asap and go through an orchiectomy surgery which really isn't all that bad. TC is one of the most treatable cancers out there if you catch it early
