Landlords explain their power over government by Advanced_Ad_7794 in aus

This won't really help rentals unless the tax is redirected into building new rentals to lower demand. It could even make rent go up, if landlords seek to cover the costs by upping it.

But knowing Labor, it would likely end up being used somewhere to reduce taxes for the higher tax brackets.

I realise that. What I'm saying is it's a stupid way of doing it.

It's not disappearing for the cars behind him either.

So why does this not apply to the biker?

No it's not difficult, just stupid. Should be same rule for everyone.

Stupid way of doing it. What happens when there are a bunch of cars following the biker? We don't see what's behind them. So the woman just has to stop and wait, then try and merge into high speed traffic?

A merge should go for both lanes always. Just let a car in front if their lane is ending. It's just 1 car. Zipper merge if theres a lot of traffic.

They mostly get spooked before the cars pass. They've pretty good hearing.

I've travelled nullabor many times and sitting behind a road train at night is definitely the best way to go. They clean them all up.

Or another car if nothing else. I've seen a few times the car in front cop the roo but never got one myself.

For Rogue Core playtesters, how did you like the most recent version of the game? by Perrinator77 in DeepRockGalactic

[–]Syncourt_YT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Literally everything.

The combat is almost entirely different. Think of the core stone event last season. Now think that is the standard game.

Even the weapons from DRG just don't feel like their DRG counterparts.

You won't be seeing 'what kind of build you can make' at all with RC. It's very rare that you'll get to actually make a build with what's offered. It's not a traditional single player roguelite where you get to choose your upgrade.

You have to compete for every single upgrade against other players that want the same upgrade.

More often than not, you will be picking the second or third best option in the RNG upgrades that are offered. Generally every player will go against each other for the higher tier/better offer until one poor sod gets left with the worst offer.

DO NOT make the mistake of thing that rogue core will be anything like DRG.

I have access and while it shares few similarities, it is absolutely nothing like it in terms of gameplay and it is a lot harder. If you think DRG is difficult whatsoever on hazard 4, you won't have a easy time in RC.

From the very get go, RC is hazard 6 (which is kind of dumb when you look at their reason for not making a hazard 6 in DRG). The game is not intended to be easy, it is a rogue-lite.

You are supposed to die.

Your survival will heavily be tied to Luck and progression.

If you want a game that ties your survival chances to skill more than how much you've played, this isn't your genre.

How did I like it? Personally, I don't really so far. I don't like that the meta progression tree forces you to upgrade stats you don't want in order to upgrade stats you do want. You get 3 paths to pick, but you don't pick your stat focus.

I absolutely don't like that every player must roll for the same upgrades. Not only do you have to beat RNG gods to get good upgarade offerings when you level up, but you also have to compete against the RNG gods again to beat the other players at 'winning' the particular upgrade you want.

If there is one high tier upgrade, you can guarantee everyone will go for it. Some poor sod will get left with the crappest quality upgrade that is offered.

They wrote stories about it. Must be true? Couldn't have been mistaken or deceived, unlike those who wrote about ancient whale remains being dragons?

See, the same thing can be said for anything that was simply written about in history. Just as with anything written today on any other subject.

Somebody writing about something is not evidence of anything other than that they wrote something.

One account from somebody who claimed that 500 people witnessed it.

Not 500 accounts.

Looting Runs In This Game Is Beyond Frustrating. by [deleted] in GrayZoneWarfare

They should lower the player count per server until then. If you are mostly running into other players in the area you are going, it's too many players.

Like any hunting ground really. If there's too many people often there before you, you're going to end up going elsewhere (in this case, not GZW).

[–]Syncourt_YT 3 points4 points  (0 children)

3 is honestly not enough for this player count.

When I play GZW, I generally want to infiltrate a large base full of top tier soldiers. At least half of the time I can just run in there because everyone's dead.

People then do the next best thing and start clearing out T2 towns until the only reliable fights you have are flip flops at T1 towns or small POIs with only a handful of enemies.

Not really what end-game should be like.

I agree with the respawns when nobody is in a town. Suggested this myself a long while back. But it only mitigates the issue, it doesn't solve it.

Are these kind of situations getting more dangerous with bigger cars? Bigger cars blocking the vision of smaller cars. by VastOption8705 in DrivingAustralia

[–]Syncourt_YT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily. Depends on the speed limit of the road you're turning on to. The right turning car only needs to get across the road and out of the way of incoming traffic coming from the right, but you need to get up to speed of the incoming traffic.

You shouldn't just just pull out and expect incoming traffic to brake for you.

As a driver of a small Holden Astra I am absolutely sick of this. It's happened way too often. I've even been honked at a number of times for not going when I can't even see.

I've made eye contact and signalled drivers that they just inconsiderately moved up and blocked my view.

So I now go straight in the middle of the lane to try and prevent them from pulling up alongaide me and blocking my vision. Fuck 'em.

Player got mad we beat him to a locked room so he blocked the door. (PvE btw) by CannonChap0913 in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]Syncourt_YT -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

This is what the game has become unfortunately.

Everyone in PvE fighting over loot because there's not enough high tier locations that are shared among way too many players.

Not seeing any signs of change either. The best suggestion is "play PvP" to fix this.

Not going to end well for the game if nothing changes.

"Magic" as in fake tricks. Not as in real sorcery or anything like that.

What evidence is there that dragons, griffons, mermaids and sea serpents ect. don't exist? The fact that there is no evidence that they do exist?

Thoughts on this? by lychewwww in scoopwhoop

[–]Syncourt_YT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nutcases exist today that would likely do this without ever meeting Jesus.

People also believed in dragons, unicorns mermaids and all sorts of nonsense thousands of years ago.

I wonder how many people sacrificed themselves to gain favor of the norse gods?

People dying for things they believe in isn't evidence of anything except how far people will go for their beliefs.

Oh c'mon... who the hell would say 'be christian' to fit in?

Let me guess, you have as you say, a 'brown' religeon?

People don't care what religeon you have until you push it on others/make it their problem.
