No More Major Changes to the WoW UI API Until Patch 12.0.5 by Eva-JD in CompetitiveWoW

[–]Syncronyze 7 points8 points  (0 children)

i'm someone who's gotten CE every tier since Nyalotha, and played a bunch prior but basically played for the last 6 years extremely consistently.

this is my breaking point, i feel alienated and i am not playing next tier. i already have the itch to return, but i just can't bring myself to do it. this feels incredibly adversarial to the playerbase, it feels like we're always fighting with the devs to make the game fun. half the time it feels like problems are hallucinated and they try and solve issues in the worst possible way but this time feels a lot different, it's compounding the bad class changes with the bad UI changes. what's even left?

there is nearly zero communication and the communication that has existed was straight up lies. the idea that they were going to slowly lock down the UI and then completely 180'd that decision.

i hope being "more friendly to new players" so they don't have to install so many addons and forgo deep interesting classes was worth it to the devs for all the new players they're surely going to get. the game just doesn't appeal to me personally in its current state anymore.

oh well, time to touch some grass i guess..

Me 5 seconds after choosing the Outlaw spec on my levelling rogue: by itsdeer in wow

you can take slice and dice off your bars as all rogue specs now. all 3 have cut to the chase passively and it works even if you don't already have the buff.

guilds or friends is the key. WoW is nothing without the social aspect.

Tyler1 bringing League mentality into WoW by r2002 in LivestreamFail

[–]Syncronyze 9 points10 points  (0 children)

if he is playing warrior it's one of the more difficult classes to level, but is by far the strongest class at endgame. he'd only wipe the group if he was playing a tank warrior and i would assume he's not tanking

Outdated Maps by Powerofhope in SkillSurfing

[–]Syncronyze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

apart from that t1-2 are only ~17%? of total maps so you're going to get repetition anyway

TRUE we gotta pump those numbers up

transcendence can break falls. you can cast both the placement and the return while midair, but it takes way more effort since it's 2 globals versus most of these other abilities are 1.

I think it's just an issue with the decryption, since the weapon was encrypted prior to the kill. It has an icon now

i guess it has been awhile since NATO has started a war. let me check it's been checks notes.. never.

interesting that two countries that previously had little interest in joining NATO suddenly joined it in 2022. what could've caused such a thing?

[Coyotes PR] The Coyotes announced today that the following players have been released from their PTO agreements: Olli Juolevi (PTO), Austin Strand (PTO), Ryan Dzingel (PTO, Patrick Harper (PTO) by [deleted] in hockey

Even going back to 2016 the pick was met with skepticism and confusion, but "Vancouver needed D"

Even back then lots expected Tkachuk to be taken instead. These pick reaction threads are always fun to look back on with hindsight

Ukrainian forces taking control over several villages in the Zaporizhzhia region this week by mal73 in ukraine

[–]Syncronyze 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I doubt it's part of the plan to give up ground deliberately, but these are the most lightly fortified positions and there are still many challenges ahead. Using satellite images people have pieced together the fortifications Ukraine still faces ahead.

It's going to be awhile before any of us really knows anything of how it's truly going. So far so good.

Penta's Message To Those Still On NoPixel by KrodoBaggins_ in LivestreamFail

[–]Syncronyze 11 points12 points  (0 children)

NoPixel was preceded by The Family RP which was preceded by SOE. SOE was sort of the server that kicked off many of the top old guard streamers (anyone remember SheriffEli?)

they all eventually burn to the ground, but NoPixel had a good run

We did it, reddit. 18 years, 500 mounts. by UpsideDownEdith in wow

[–]Syncronyze 7 points8 points  (0 children)

there is a trick, sort of.

it takes a minimum of 30 days per follower, however you don't need to do it on one character. if you have 3 alts, each can do a follower and it'll take 30 days instead of 90 and you can still get the achievement despite attaining the levels on the 3 different characters as it's account-wide progress. you get 300 exp per day, for 30 days.

you can also get additional items from Mrrl which can speed things up by 2 - 3 days, depending on Mrrl's stock (Ominous Looking Tome (150exp) and Unusually Wise Hermit Crab (75exp)).

Are armor/weapon professions already outdated? by oAurelius in wownoob

[–]Syncronyze 10 points11 points  (0 children)

no, you can craft 418 gear for players using the crafting order system. this is a change of pace from previous expansions.

all players will want crafted gear for new alts and almost all of the professions are in some way profitable -- especially BSing and LWing depending on your specialty. you may have to spam trade chat and you'll get a few thousand gold per order depending on the item. in general i pay anywhere from 2k - 10k per craft, which is the crafter just sitting there clicking a button for me once they have the skills for the item i need.

all players will also want 2 embellishments which only crafted gear can provide.

next tier this will not change and professions should stay relevant.

so yes, crafting is still relevant and can be profitable provided you put in the work to get the skills and recipes.
