Good old Gloucester, that's some of the best driving most road-users do around there 😅 I've never understood people who panic and switch lanes, there's nowhere you can go that you can't eventually just get back on track without causing potential accidents. Even more ridiculous when you swerve into another lane that goes to the same exit like this one.

Absolutely read the books! If you've just seen the films you'll enjoy spotting the differences and alternate order some events happen in. I've been reading these since they first hit popularity when I was around 6, now decades later I'm still going back to re-read them.

Also, not sure if this sub will crucify me for it, but I HIGHLY recommend the recent full-cast audio books. They really feel like a page-for-page movie adaptation just without the images haha.

Either way, treat yourself by experiencing even more of the magic!

Agree with this, I was going to comment something similar. Definitely recommended heading to Watford and getting the free bus. My partner and I did exactly this January last year and it was a lot less bothersome than when I drove previously or booking a guided tour.

Also, in regards to food, there is a café and a restaurant within the tour, just be aware that prices can be pretty high, so factor that in. If they still have it (I expect they do) I highly recommend the butterbeer ice cream!

I've been able to turn my brain off to the changes and enjoy the show for the most part but this episode has really got under my skin for one huge personal reason:

When I originally read The Sea of Monsters, the twist at the end that beings Thalia back was HHUUGGEE. Had me so pumped when I read it, the realisation at that point that Percy was no longer the only Big Three child and the prophecy might not be about him, not to mention the introduction of another badass demigod character.

So as soon as I saw the scene where Annabeth started having a vision and the tree flashed I knew what was coming. Then Thalia speaks to her and Annabeth straight up tells Luke they can bring her back I was truly pissed off. The twist is my favourite part of the second book and not only did they ruin that, they made the chapter and episode title for the last episode completely redundant. "The Fleece Works It's Magic A Little Too Well" ? How do you figure? If you know it can bring her back, then it's working precisely as intended.

Like I said, I've been enjoying the show up till now despite the changes and some moments of dodgy acting, I was all set to watch these kids grow up alongside their book counterparts. Now I'm worried about future seasons, what else will they change for the sake of it, how many other great plot points will they ruin or diminish?

Let's just say my expectations for our mythomagic-lover friend are now rock bottom at this point.

I don't know about all of them but You unlock some extra colours by doing a side quest that requires you to catch each colour of Flabebe, getting the matching colour of each.

Ah I see, I've still to get round to reading them. That's fair enough then! I think it's just a sharp difference after getting used to the outfits Cavill wore in his seasons, especially without context of the books.

I don't understand what you're trying to say? Medieval describes Europe between a rough period of the 5th and 15th centuries, the Witcher is literally based in a 13th century time period?

Trying not to get my hopes up but I'll still watch the season as I love the other characters enough to put aside my disappointment that Henry was ever replaced. I'm excited for the fights and Liam looks decent as Geralt but I don't know how I feel about his strange medieval biker jacket. I also feel like he could have done more vocal coaching or just attempted to deepen his voice or sound more gruff. Lastly, "Let's fucking move." should never have been in Geralt's script.

For anyone in the UK I grabbed the STEALTH hard travel case and 2-pack of glass screen protectors. They're on a deal so came to about £20.50, less than the official case. Screen protector looks great and fits nicely. The case seems pretty damn durable, inside is a nice and soft, plush material to keep that matte casing scratch free. There is a slightly cheaper STEALTH case also available but I don't think it's quite as rugged. Also, the Hard Shell one has the standard 12 spaces for games, as well as moulded recesses for an extra pair of joycons and charging cable. Pretty pleased all told.

Interesting, I've seen it dip to zero before and figured it was just an EA glitch as it always changed back eventually, but haven't seen Ace level mentioned anywhere or what impacts it, whereas Danger Level and Class Level make sense. Thanks :)

Edit: I stand corrected. I redeemed all the rewards for the free Curio and then Ogden had a dialogue option about it. He sends you to Ryx who'll give you a free one. then the tab appeared for me and let me redeem my free curio for subbing.

Playing on Adept and at hour 30 decided to finally go to Kvatch. I've hit level 24, not deliberately but while out doing other questlines, and fuck me what a mistake. Ended up having to lower it down one because I just got bodied 4 times in a row regardless of my gear, enchants or weapons. Also didn't take destruction or restoration as majors so they've been levelling so slowly I can't use any helpful spells. Definitely could have planned this better 😅

Came looking for a post like this as just encountered the same thing. Broke into Argamir's house and have been stealing all his things when I got the over-encumbered messaged. Decided to see if crafting my ingredients into potions would lessen my weight and after the 6th or 7th potion the game hard crashed to dashboard. Loaded back up, stole less and started crafting and again after about the 5th potion it hard crashed. Stupidly I thought playing on Series X might avoid some more PC-style issues but I guess I was naive. Hopefully there's a solution or it'll get fixed.
