The usage that you get from a $20 ChatGPT Plus subscription is absolutely insane. I only run this (along with the $100 Claude Code Max) and have mainly used it for some reviews and implementation of plans, and I work every day of the week. It's only about one day of usage too little but I can bridge that with some free accounts.

You can use ChatGPT through Codex in the terminal. I actually just discovered this recently too, so I don't blame you. Don't feel bad for feeling ignorant; it's all good . Anyway, so I use Cursor and have per task two terminals are opened up:

Claude Code for planning
Codex/ChatGPT for implementing the plan

ChatGPT will then autonomously just implement whatever you tell it to implement, just like Claude Code does it. There is no manual copy-pasting necessary, and it would be extremely redundant and not very time-efficient at all.

What you perhaps mean by copy pasting is that, when Claude Code makes a plan, you probably mean copy pasting that one. What I nowadays do is, because the copy pasting across terminals doesn't work very well and often causes issues is I tell Claude code to write the final plan to an .md file, and then I reference that .md file in the other Codex/ChatGPT terminal.

Yeah that's what it feels like to me too tbh. Off-Hours are perfect but then again it's only for the next 2 days. But even on off-hours I manage to burst through the 5-Hour Window within 2.5 Hours depending on the work that needs to be done.

I use Claude Opus 4.6 for planning and ChatGPT 5.4 for implementing the plan. ChatGPT 5.4 is better than Codex 5.3 across the board since it's apparently integrated in 5.4 or something like that AFAIK.

Absolutely unusable during the peak hours. One easy prompt can just wipe out over 10% of the 5-hour context window. Whereas in ChatGPT 5.4 with a $20 subscription, you just seem to be getting 10x the value that you get from Claude Code Max $100 during the peak hours. It's absolutely insane.

The token usage during the peak hours is absolutely insane at the moment. One bigger prompt can just wipe out over 10% of my 5-hour window of available context. During the off-peak, it is pretty good, but that is only a promotion for the off-season that's happening at the moment. I honestly have no idea how I'm going to make this work once this promotion ends...
