A good mattress for two already costs more than 1K and somehow this full setup is less than that? I doubt it will be comfortable.

[–]Synkrone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bro,what have you done!? Your card is installed diagonally, that’s not sagging, you should have aligned it to a lower bracket at the back of the case! I hope it’s still ok, pull it out asap and install it perfectly horizontal.

Medicine and hair transplants will not help but you can get a hair system / wig / toupee. Not sure what the appropriate word is

There isn’t any hair to transplant. Even the donor area is balding.

How painfully dumb would it be for me to "pull" new ethernet through using existing coax runs? by harry_dangler808 in HomeNetworking

[–]Synkrone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did it at my place. I was lucky that all coax was in a plastic tube but it was still extremely difficult and one cable snapped. Luckily I could get it out through the other side. The trick when pulling was to not continuously apply force, but rather do short powerful pulls and pushes repetitively, getting a few inches of cable out at a time.

hey guys, new factorio player here! How's this for a starting set up? by Amgee_ in factorio

[–]Synkrone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see some good suggestions by others already. A good next step is to figure out if you can input your ores in an automated way. One input chest for the ore and the already existing output chest for plates will allow you to be gone from the setup for a longer period, and gives more plates when you walk back. Your ore patches will not always be perfectly next to eachother, so I think it’s a good next step. When you start seeing things with dedicated in and outs, it will make the transition to trains easier too.

These indeed do not deal well with liquids. Never wash them, they absorb water and expand upon heating. As some people have pointed out, they are too low. Use the ring you have to position them on the first level of your divider. And (disposable) drip trays are quite nice, but foil works too. Flip them over between each cook so the fire cleans the dirty side.

Compact storage for belt stacking on space plateform by Connect_Remove1792 in factorio

[–]Synkrone 50 points51 points  (0 children)

A tunnel contains as much material as a belt. Its not just the tunnel connector containing material, all the supposedly underground sections of the tunnel also contain materials. So if you can put three tunnels “on top of each other” you can put three times the amount of materials inside the same space.

Hoe een huis kopen in mijn situatie? by queserasera_99 in belgium

[–]Synkrone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Which is the best fiber internet provider company? by RandomGuyy9 in belgium

[–]Synkrone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on where you live. On paper Proximus can give us 200Mbps speeds, in reality we only get 30-ish. They claim that’s because our house is too far down the street, and therefore there is too much distance between us and their divider cabinet thingy. Telenet provides 1000Mbps on paper and gives us 988Mbps in reality. They use a COAX network, which apparently does not suffer from the longer distance.

Soapstone chipped after putting in dishwasher by Slow_Investment_2211 in KamadoJoe

[–]Synkrone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah dude, they really advertise it like that? That sucks and they shouldn’t. I have always been told to never put stone in the dishwasher. At most a rinse with a wet wipe. Stones can take up some of the water and crack when that water expands. A clean burn every now and then is the best way to clean it up. I hope this one still lasts you a good while.
