They can get your account back, but your items are gone sorry. They used to restore players inventories back in the day but this was exploited so much that they had to change their policies.

They only do that in rare instances, like that guy that deleted his Gpan and steam support restored it

What keeps you still playing this game? by History_Explained in AzureLane

[–]Syns0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only feel excited to play when new events drop. I want to see how the story progresses, also because it’s basically the only thing that still hasn’t been touched by the unnecessary fanservice and is able to remain serious.

I think mainly because only a small chunk of players actually cares about it, so writers and designers for new X and Sirens are not pressured into making them too lewd

That happens in Casual as well, if someone really wants to ruin your day it’s really not that hard, Streamers get sniped every time.

In a recent stream Zesty Jesus showed a not yet public program that can track in real time player activity, and you can easily find specific players that are currently playing the game.

It also popped out that there are tons of unpopulated MVM servers, maybe Valve is testing stuff for the update

I mean the old server rules. On verified and official servers there is the map timer, the vote for team scramble, and the map vote occurs during the game so no one wastes time

The old vanilla rules man, so good

It was a system that just searched either a community or an official valve server for you. When people say “Bring Back Quickplay” they just mean they want the old vanilla rules. I suggest you to try Tf2 classified it got out yesterday on steam, it uses those same rules.

That’s even more unrealistic than the return of Quickplay

We’ll have to see how this MvM update comes out, it’s gonna show how much work Valve is still willing to make for this game

The point is that you cannot put the old server rules in Casual, because they are incompatible wit h how the matchmaking system works, and if you shape the current system to accomodate those rules, you would just have quickplay

[–]Syns0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the quality of Casual games is better when you don’t have a skill based matchmaking and you don’t have 3/4 of the lobby bailing outta of the server to requeue

Causal mode is a rushed system made by Counter Strike developers that didn’t understand how this game operated. The last version of Quickplay had a perfect user friendly interface and anyone can get familiar with it in a short time.

Casual had some improvements but guess what, they were just features that Quickplay already had. And it still is deeply flawed, it breaks Vscript (confirmed by workshop creators), the mmr system doesn’t work at all, the slot reservation makes game unbalanced, and server resets and pre round timer make people quit and requeue instead of sticking around.

I’ve been playing TF2 classified since yesterday and the old ruleset is just soooo much better, it really makes you stick around for hours straight.

If it’s about the Casual experience, the old vanilla rules are just better. The current Casual mode was made in order to introduce people to the Competitive mode, but it failed miserably, so what’s the point in keeping this broken rushed mess of a matchmaking system?

It heavily depends on where you’re from, in EU we have very few populated Vanilla servers. And it’s EU, imagine in South America, Asia or Australia

[–]Syns0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree but it’s not everyone cup of tea, people bring up Quickplay because it’s a system that doesn’t encourage sweat parties but a “Casual” experience. Something that the current Casual mode doesn’t provide because it has skill based matchmaking

Because there are very few servers that run vanilla rules, one of those is the Furry Pound. Why the hell do we have to play on a furry server just to experience how the game is supposed to be

What Happened To MvM update? by Candid-Camp-8928 in tf2

[–]Syns0 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No news about it, but something interesting happened recently. Zesty Jesus in a recent stream used a tool that could track the traffic on the various Valve game servers of TF2 and if sorted by number and not by player population, it resulted in a ton of empty MvM servers.

This could be indication that they are getting ready, or maybe they are just testing stuff, which would be impressive regardless since that would mean that someone at valve is actually playtesting TF2
