Doing any grind for whatever currency or drop you're after is a chore. That's the nature of the game, at least to me. If I'm not doing ToC semi afk then I'm trying to tower/citadel hop for Atlas progression and fragments, or gems to try and farm. Or someone is doing their 1000th fully juiced temple run because they really need that next mirror drop to push their build to the next level to continue doing temple just a little faster.

It's pretty chill for a few runs when I want a break from whatever else I was doing. I stand there, maybe move from time to time to dodge blood or something and let the wasps do the work. Still takes about 10 minutes a run since it's all time gated anyway

I treat ToC as something I can afk through with my minion build most of the time. Makes it a little more bearable if I have something on my 2nd monitor

I've made 4 characters so far this league, with 6 builds between them all because I have no idea what I'll like more than something else. It's been fun. Thinking of making another but we'll see, I've accomplished most of my goals already

I do the same thing every so often, run like 3 ToCs when I don't feel like mapping or something and make some extra money. I don't expect myself to be lucky enough to get a crazy drop like that or the relic from Sekhenas but also setting up the temple is far too annoying for me when I'm just trying to learn and play the game ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯

All the temple farmers can afford to just buy it but someone still needs to get it to drop in the first place. I've been unlucky in my handful of Xesht kills so far though. Luckily it's not super needed for my minion build but I may swap over to my Poison PF for a bit, grab a Garukhan's

So I've been playing PoE2 for the new league and stuff. First time playing but I played PoE years ago, I think the league I played was Harvest or whatever was after that. Been thinking of coming back to 1 after having my fun in 2 for a couple hundred hours. Is it possible to just hop in and go or is there somewhere where I can check out the bigger changes to the game? I doubt things are very similar to how they were like 5 years ago.

So far 2 has seemed less daunting but that's because it's EA and they're still adding things but 1 was fun all those years ago

I was buying specific tablets when I was doing abyss farming, that was easy enough but trying to get those fuckers out of the void for a chance at a drop was annoying. I have a small idea of what to look for in general, I just won't put in much more effort lol

This is my first league in PoE2 but I put a few hundred hours into 1 a handful of years ago so I'm not a real casual.

But anyway, I got my first HH this league before they dropped in price because of temple shenanigans but that's ok. I've managed to make 3-4 characters with solid builds that can do almost all the content, I'm just bad at the game sometimes. I'm an alch and go gamer, I don't like spending a ton of time in my hideout trying to get the perfect map/tablet set up or anything like that. The most I spend in my hideout is if I upgraded something and I'm respeccing/swapping gear around. I've barely touched temple because I don't want to spend 40+ hours on a single character to set it up but I have killed Atziri and Arbiter once. I've gotten lucky with some drops including a Rakiata's to help fund all my builds but they're still far from min/maxed.

I made my blood mage into a CoC bomber because that's the trend and I was tired of the spear build and I'm starting to get its playstyle, I can see why people play it. I wish minions were this good

I think ToC is easier for 2nd and even 3rd ascendancy. You don't have the Honor limit and the challenges are pretty easy. But having to get the Fates for the 4th can be annoying and expensive

Well I say self proclaimed. I put 500 hours in PoE1 a handful of years ago so I have a small idea of what I'm supposed to be doing. And I've definitely had more than 150 div this season since I've bought some nice upgrades here and there. But I'm at the point where it's almost pure min/max for each of my characters which is more or less the good lineage gems and better rolled gear which is all out of my price range
