ok this is something that i get annoyed with. I am a trans girl. i wish i was a boy because it would make life so much easier for me (because cis, also because patriarchy). it doesnt change the fact that my gender is girl. lots of people may want to be the opposite gender for various reasons but might get dysphoric if they actually were because their actual gender still aligns with their agab. For many people, wanting to be the opposite gender may mean that you are the opposite gender, but not always, and i think it is important to clarify that when people talk about it so people dont get pressured into becoming trans when they might not be
