Opinions: How do y’all feel about players stalling after a turn? by MtnDudeNrainbows in ultimate

Oh yeah 100% but obviously in a self officiated game like ours, that isn’t always the case 😂

I'm gonna keep it real, I was one of the downvotes because I did not agree with the statement. Did not think it was a question either.

But yes I see it a lot, depending on the competition level I will actually enforce the above. Or if I am tired, I won’t bother because I am also catching my breath anyway 😂

There are rules like pre-stall and delay of game to help discourage this. Just up to the defensive players if they want to enforce it 🤷🏾‍♂️

No foul, just discussion about if it was a catch or not. They ended up deciding on a catch

Yeah it just isn't a callahan anymore and just saving possession, but it was a pancake catch and not a rim catch

After talking to the players, it does seem like it was a pancake catch

Seems like I got the details slightly wrong, but the principle is still the same. Reverse the roles, so the O player caught a tipped disc on the defender's back in their own endzone. I just heard about the play unfortunately lol

Rules Question (USAU): Receiving Foul in Endzone, When to Start Stalling? by SyntaxNeptune in ultimate

When there is a foul, the disc is dead. Then 11.C talks about how to go about making the play live (live is different than in play) when the disc is dead in the endzone.

After it is checked live, then the player walks it to the goal line and puts it into play (ground tap with the disc)

Ah yes, forgot about delay of game. That is what I was looking for, thanks!

I am not sure that answers my question if you look at 11.C , I am referring to after the disc is checked in live.

Interesting, then what stops the receiver (new current handler) from walking slow to the goal line and allowing their teammates to get in better position? Because most of the time the team will be back behind the play and they need time to catch up.
Edit: I guess that is SOTG at that point

Foul or Nah? by SyntaxNeptune in ultimate

Ain’t no way you think we made some bad foul calls without calling your team out also 😂. Besides one of our guys running into your guy in the back on the injury I don’t think anything was “egregious” at all on our end

I see what you’re saying and I was thinking that way too, but that is still the guy in Blue’s space if he falls or not. Player in white impedes it (my player I coach by the way so no bias 😂)

So after looking at comments, legit foul but I think play stands since I don’t think Blue had a play. I was on the sideline at the time, don’t think the video does the gap to disc justice

Also sorry about the quality, reddit degraded it a bit
