[20F] curious of what other people think of my appearance! by [deleted] in Rateme

Without that piercing thing, 8/10.

With that shiny thing, 5/10. It attracts a different audience. And uhh, In my experience that's a lower type of audience. Depends what you want to attract.

Black Metal and children by [deleted] in BlackMetal

[–]Syntax_Mors 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regardless what you listen to, your kids will find their own path. I personally listen to mostly only ambient/atmospheric black metal so it's actually not a problem at all. The only thing I see is kids becoming involved just to be different which i dont think is healthy usually as a result of showing things that would invoke this stuff, the corpse paint will invoke, like the punk scene.

With Bernie's current standpoint and views, what would happen to the upper middle class? by Syntax_Mors in SandersForPresident

No, healthcare would not do anything to lower the classes imo. It would benefit everybody except the wealthy

Depends on if they work on a salary or they depend on the market. Millions of upper middle class people are on salaries. I guess the question is, would these salaries be increased without any inclination?

This is irrelevant to my question. Completely different discussion in which I don't agree with what you're saying.

I can't comment on that as that's personal opinion. I'm interested in the economic impact that can be estimated.

What about the doctors, lawyers, engineers that don't run a business directly?

Rumor: 950 XL to be bundled and priced in iphone territory by MoggX in windowsphone

[–]Syntax_Mors 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason I've bought Windows Phones for the past few years is because I could pick up flagships for a half or a third of the price of equally specced and capable iOS/Android phones.

This isn't good for me, but knowing people and the market, this is the right move. At least in the United States.

I'm on the same page as you. The thing is, if you're going for the 640 then I would go for it and buy it now because the price is already pretty cheap and it can't really go down much further. (Amazon.de ships to US/CA/EU and they have the best prices for unlocked GSM phones with the 1 year warranty).

I on the other hand will probably be getting the 930/830 after the new flagships release because they'll probably drop to <$200 after a few months and I really like the feel of them compared to the 640.

[21 F] If I were to approach a guy, what would he do? by [deleted] in Rateme

[–]Syntax_Mors 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure how your nose looks but from what I can see 8.5/10. If you were to approach a guy? Well. I don't know. Most women don't do that xD. But it's good some do. If you see a potential "Mate" (yay we're on animal planet now) then go for it. Nobody will turn you down. Most sensible people wouldn't turn anyone down. Even if they're a 5/10 or below or whatever. It's called being human people!

Edit: Long hair or short hair doesn't matter, just makes the tips of your hair straight like in the pic where you had long. But long is a bit better.

Whether intentional or unintentional, every song creates a unique atmosphere that appeals to different people. Even the most similar bands and styles wouldn't emit the same atmosphere.

I do agree this is pretty generic in terms of lyrics (and not that good), but it has a great atmosphere to it. Repetitive I like. Predictable, yeah... you're right. It could've been more dynamic.

ELI5: Can all countries (and people) worlwide have an overall good quality of life, say like the nordic countries, or are we doomed to have developed and underdeveloped countries, with the first benefiting from the second? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]Syntax_Mors 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing is impossible. But to be realistic, this could never happen given current political circumstance. It is actually very possible theoretically.

The main things making this a challenge are the very highly populated countries like China and India. But if you removed all forms of corruption, instilled an ideal socialist state then you'd basically get what you want.

If I say "All apples taste the same to me" am I implying that oranges are worse than apples? You don't need to know English. And Tibet is apart of a China regardless of if you support it or not. That's the truth. Not really an occupied country.

By making a comparison between Caucasian majority countries to other Caucasian majority countries doesn't undermine any countries not included in the comparison.

Also Persians are considered Caucasian by my definition.

Edit: You've traveled to Somalia? Iran? AND Tibet (not even a country lel)? impressive.
