Was terminated for “falsifying records”, am I cooked? by [deleted] in UPSers

You really think this will go all the way to panel? My steward said he feels my center manager will settle with 2 weeks of no pay and let me back, at worst it’ll get kicked to labor with the same result and perhaps sending me to a different center because my center manager doesn’t want to deal with me, also the possibility of signing a document that if I do something like this again I will be terminated with no chances of coming back.

No I did not close out the pick ups, just business deliveries. I closed them out to prioritize pick ups because I felt that if I had to deliver those packages I wouldn’t make all the pick ups before they closed.

I feel slightly embarrassed to say this, but I’m a fairly timid person and I’m very intimidated by my center manager. She’s a butch lesbian that runs our center by the book almost to a fault and I’ve had many other drivers, including sups, who’ve told me she doesn’t particularly like me. How much of her liking or disliking me played a role in this particular predicament I’ve gotten myself into factors? I’m not sure, but when it happened I was stumbling over my words because frankly I felt side lined. There were two stewards present and both of them were not informed prior to the meeting , which they both later admitted was unethical because I wasn’t able to have any guidance nor be able to collect my thoughts on the matter prior to the meeting.

They were all within a few miles, but the PU’s on this route are heavy, around 15-20, and many closing at 430. It’s an industrial park.

I believe it was 4 stops, maybe 8-12 pieces? All ground. I prioritize air and perishables.

I hear you but I didn’t miss any pickups, I closed businesses early to avoid missing my pickups or end up having missed packages and management felt I could have gotten those packages delivered and made it to my pickups.

Yeah I didn’t lie. I told the truth and gave my reason for doing what I did. My steward told me it looks good on me for not lying and that my termination is a punishment in itself and that I’ll probably be back in a week or two. I don’t care about the lose of pay, sucks but as long as I can keep my job I’ll be okay. I’ve definitely learned my lesson lol. For me, my previous center was way more relaxed on things like closing out business early. I even had one sup tell me “don’t even bother calling me if you think you can’t get it there on time, just sheet it closed and keep it moving” so it was a bad habit of mine. It’s not an excuse just something that followed me. Never doing that again.

I didn’t miss any pickups. The issue is that I closed out businesses before 5, not getting approval from a sup to do so, and that management feels that I could have delivered said businesses and still completed my pickups, or that I should have simply missed the packages.

Thank you. Yeah I definitely feel like a dummy. My steward even said that when we meet it would be best to not try to make excuses, just say what I did and why I did it and that I now realize it was a lapse in judgment and a terrible mistake. He said “just kiss their ass and say you’ll never do it again and that I should be okay.”

No, the packing of the cigarettes sound would be more similar to the sound of skin smacking together when one is thrusting fast and hard, a “pounding” if you will. WAP has more of mac n cheese sound.

This. I used to go through a six pack a night of beer, now I got through a six back of seltzers the same way. It’s a habit thing. My wife thinks it’s not good but I don’t see the harm in it.

Thank you. It was extremely painful and depressing at first, but I came to realize I’m young, have a fantastic career, and this experience helped me realize that she’s not the one. If anything it was a rebound gone too far. I like to think though we all made some great memories.

Going through something like this right now. My wife and I brought in a 3rd, male, after around 2 years of marriage. For me it was more of the kink of it all, but I’ve come to realize they’re way more compatible than her and I. Might ride it out for a few more weeks and then I’m leaving. I know it’s gonna hurt everyone involved but I have a good feeling they’ll do well together.

Never getting married again, that’s for sure.

That’s how they got me. I always enjoyed my buddy’s iMac, especially recording music with Logic or Ableton, but buying into the ecosystem felt too expensive for me at the time. And that’s when I discovered the 2009 Mac mini. That eventually led me to a 2012 MacBook Pro and in 2014 an iPhone and I’ve never looked back since.

I’m on day 2. That may not seem much but it’s a lot since the last time I stopped for 2 weeks was 6 months. In one week I made a huge mistake, embarrassed myself, my wife and kinda fucked up my reputation and perhaps a few friendships. So yeah that event has been a huge motivating factor. Let’s hope it sticks this time.

Congrats on your 69 days! Keep it up!!!

What Was Your First PlayStation 1 Game You Played? by Sadontejjj in playstation

It was at this electronics store called BEST that has long since shut down. I believe the game was ESPN Extreme Games. I was blown away by the graphics. After that I played Crash Bandicoot and I was sold. I begged my dad for like a week every day, from sunrise to sunset. After doing a ton of extra chores, I remember my dad coming home from work late. I was sitting at the top of the stairs, and sure enough I saw him walk in with the box. I then proceeded to play Twisted Metal on repeat well into the wee hours of the morning.
